I am using my wife's Google account to post this since I do not have one. I had the chicken on Easter 2023, went about the rest of the day fine, next day felt a little under the weather, and during the next night tossed and turned with stomach cramps and all the bad things involved with food poisoning. I did not consume anything else following that meal at the barn that would coincide with salmonella or food poisoning. Today I have been vomiting... chicken!! And frequenting the bathroom around every hour to have another bout of gastrointestinal instability. I want to post this for anyone else that may have eaten the chicken on Easter this year that is experiencing this! Needless to say I will never visit the Barn in Sherrill again. The first time this happened with my extended family it was catered chicken at a wedding from this place. This time it got myself and a few others in our party. Great staff, but unsafe food!! Got there at 610 didn't get waited on till 625 and they were not bust at all just people at the bar. We were told they were out of shrimp out of ribeye's. My husband ordered all u can eat cod special. 35 minutes later we got our food which wasn't very hot and he asked waitress to put in order for more fish right away. Read moreA reservation for a large party was made well in advance and they were ill prepared. It seemed the bartender was handling all the tables in the front, our reservation, and still had a full bar to attend to. Orders were screwed up and took forever to get it because it trickled out the kitchen and the food was okay at best. We were told they only had one chef which explained a lot. I don't blame the staff but management. They needed at least two chefs in the kitchen and two servers to just handle our reservation, not just the bar tender handling the whole front of the house (seems like a popular watering hole).
