Iron Horse Brews — Restaurant in Sherwood Township

We went here for dinner. The place was not overly busy. We were seated almost as soon as we walked in. I asked my mother-in-law to order my old fashion and went to the restroom. When I came back what I received was a Manhattan. My MIL order the wrong drink on accident. I tried to drink it but it was gross. I explained this was the wrong drink to the waitress, asked if they could remake it and she said yes. She then brought back both drinks and said they remade it but we'd have to pay for both drinks. First why would you not ask me before bringing me another drink I'd have to pay for. Secondly, why as a business would you not comp the drink... I had a sip and that's all. As a customer I should not have to pay for something I did not drink. It took her forever to come back and take our order. Then our food came. My burger was dry and the onion ring was soggy. There was virtually no sauce on it. My MILs was made without the sauce it came with. The cut of the baloney was weird and definitely not the correct amount per the menu. We asked for the sauce to add it and she kept forgetting and when she finally brought it back we were ready to leave. Also her house chips (cottage fries) were ice cold and her water tasted like soap. The table next to us also had issues and we overheard the waitress say she'd warm the cold food ( just one issues at their table) in the microwave. Like what? I'm not going to pay good money to have my food re-warmed in the microwave. This was a huge let down and the waitress did nothing to make this right. Not ours nor the table next to us. The fact that the waitress marked no tip when helping my MIL pay her bill makes me feel like she knew how bad she did and that she even felt she did not deserve a tip. The renovation done to the property are amazing but unless your goal is to set for hours and drink beer the restaurant is no where near being ready to be serving food!! After arriving at 6:00 and standing for 30 minutes (only a few waiting seats) we were seated not too bad for a new establishment but that is were things went downhill, our drink order was taken and our order taken(sandwich with side salad not too entailed) and 30 minutes later still no food. The nice ambiance of the restaurant started to wear off as we noticed that very few tables were receiving food just a lot of beer. I started to watch one of the many TVs and at one hour I was told they were having trouble in the kitchen and it would be only a little longer. A new restaurant I expected a little delay but come on 1 1/2 hours and I don’t even have our side salads Yet, come on. I told my wife who really wanted to come here and support a local restaurant that I would wait 30 more minutes. They had the audacity to come to us at 8:00 and tell us that our food was not available yet. Two hours after we entered the restaurant 1 1/2 hours after ordering Still no food!! We left. First time being here and the food was fantastic! I got the brisket meal omg its so tender and juicy and just falls apart! My friend got the 3 meat platter and the pulled pork is so good! The only issue had with food was the baked sweet potato was cold. So we asked the waitress to take that back and warm that up so the butter would melt. Mozzarella sticks were great! Very nice and friendly staff for the most part. Beautiful place as well. Its a must try for the area! The only issue I felt was we were some old friends catching up so we stayed for about an hour and half almost 2 hrs total. When we were done eating about an hour in and put things in boxes, paid and were going to talk further we asked for another soda and the waitress looked at us for a few seconds and said sure in a weird way. Naturally we had paid when she brought the boxes but we were enjoy a conversation for the time. She did bring the drinks but definitely felt offish and then we never had anyone come around our table again. We even gave a 25% tip it's not like we hadn't given her something. So I know just to not packup our dinner until we are ready to leave so that we don't have that "well your done get out" feeling. But all in all such great food and beautiful...
