Went there on Wednesday and saw friends who had ordered.
First off we weren't acknowledged upon entering. Second there was no place to place an order or if there was, there was nobody available to take an order.
Second when I saw my friends I asked them how it was and they said they've been there for an hour and a half and had only gotten 1 drink and placed their order for wings. Apparently Wings had an order of 25 pounds earlier in the day and they weren't serving many in house guests. Then other customers food came out who ordered after my friends.
We called before we arrived to see if we could place an order and pick it up. Nobody answered multiple calls.
After waiting and not being acknowledged for 15 minutes we left, along with my friends. I don't know if they were short staffed or what, but if Wednesday is your busiest day you should staff properly, and not let 1 out of house order make you unavailable to serve any in house customers. In house should always come first. And you should treat all customers with the same respect. Don't only tend to your regulars or people you know, you can't grow...
Read moreThis is a local bar which caters to the locals that frequently come in. I like places like this. Usually there are locals that have stories to tell, or can tell you about the area. This place was no exception.
The bar was clean. A small staff, but friendly and attentive. Drinks were kept full and food was quick to come out considering the small staff. There was a STL baseball game on and you could hear the TVs and plenty of them up to watch games. I suspect that many don't know this is available in there as it is.
I travel and eat wings, it's my thing, so I would say I have had my share of wings. These wings were good and large. No quail wings here. They come standard breaded, so of you want them naked ask for that. I didn't know that and naked is my preference, but they were still great. I had the Hot and Parm/garlic. They were both good. The small fries will feed two.
If you are looking for a sit down place to talk privately this isn't the place. If you want a small, but friendly atmosphere and a little...
Read moreYou gotta know what you're getting into- this isn't Buffalo Wild Wings. If you want a place with mediocre food and someone coming by your table every 5 minutes to check if you have enough water, maybe go there instead.
Wings of Shiloh always takes great care of us, it's a place for a shot and a beer and the BEST wings in the metro area. Order a pound, get them hot, grab a draft and you'll be in heaven.
Belly up to the bar and hang out if you want to meet the REAL movers and shakers of Shiloh, IL. My wife and I have met some of the coolest folks here and I can't imagine going anywhere else when I want some wings and a few drinks. Parking can be interesting but there's a lot around the side you can park in and be fine.
If you're in a hurry and you want just "some wings" and need to get your special craft beer, then maybe this isn't your place. If you want the best wings in the midwest and have some time to kill, you'd be stupid to go anywhere else. Now that I'm writing this I realize I need to go back and grab some lunch-...
