Undercliff Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Shoal Creek Estates

My family got there around 6:30 PM on a Saturday night. We went in for dining but since we had 6 in our party we were told there would be a 30 minute wait to be seated inside, but could be seated immediately outside. We decided to sit outside as a 30 minute wait for kids just to be seated would not work for us. Our server was nice and helpful with the menu. We took about 5 minutes to review the menu and wanted to order quickly as it was busy and we wanted to get our order in. I had the double 1/4 lb cheeseburger, my wife had a single 1/4lb cheeseburger, child 1 ordered the B.L. Tipton (its a BLT Sandwich), child 2 got the chicken bacon swiss sandwich and the little ones split the boomtown fried chicken meal with fries. Everyone was excited to eat as we were ready for dinner. Unfortunately it took 45 minutes for us to get our food. We watched a young couple get seated at the bar after us and receive their order before ours showed up.

I can somewhat understand the wait on a busy Saturday evening, but the wait did not justify the experience (or lack there of) and the underwhelming food. The meat from my burger was over done, and the breading on the boomtown fried chicken appeared to be the same batter used for fish and chips! Other dishes were mediocre at best (you really can't mess up a BLT). We also noticed the white gravy was very runny. I have heard great things about the undercliff grill & bar, and may have to try again on a day that is not as busy so I can atleast experience dining inside of a cliff, but based on my experience, I would not recommend this establishment.

I thought our waitress was doing a decent job, but I realized she never provided updates on the food or state she was going to check the kitchen to see what's taking so long.

I sincerely hope everyone has a better experience here, than me...

We decided to stop in on our way home from the city wide sale in Neosho. There was 3 of us. We did not wait too long to be seated. However once seated we waited quite awhile before a server got to us. They were semi busy so no big deal. The server takes our order and 2 of us order drinks from the Fan Favorite drinks listed on the table insert. The other orders a bloody Mary. 2 of us ordered water as well. It takes awhile before we get our drinks and only 1 water, the bloody Mary and 1 fan favorite drink comes out. She walks away without a word and we continue to wait about 15 more minutes before one of us gets her attention as to where the other fan favorite drink was and she informed us she didn't know how to make it and there was no bartender scheduled till 5 on a Saturday.... If you are not going to schedule a bartender make sure your servers know how to bartend that looks sloppy. So he cancels the drink obviously and asks for just a water which he receives rather quickly but the other water NEVER comes out. And she doesn't say anything so there's that. We all order, grilled chicken Caesar salad, Ruben with what's supposed to be and were told we're hand battered onion rings (I've worked food service for years my husband is still currently a chef so we know what hand battered looks like) and the loaded nachos. It takes 45 minutes for us to get our food. The salad had about 5 pieces of chicken in total on the salad but 20 croutons on it. The Ruben tasted like cheese and meat only. The onion rings were literally scraps from the bottom of the bag that you couldn't even eat bc they were crumbs. The nachos were literally can cheese sauce with tomatos, onions and non seasoned beef on top and tasted bland. I was actually REALLY excited to try this place finally but totally let down. We definitely won't...

What an awful experience! I brought my kids because I thought they would think it was really cool and they did, but the experience was something I would have rather not experience.Terrible service! I saw the server, Meagan when she took our order and when she brought the food and when she dropped off the check. She never did a check back on us to see if we were doing all right or if everything tasted good. My mozzarella sticks came out and our chips and queso came out promptly. The chips were stale and I need a ranch to go with the mozzarella sticks. We waited about 7 minutes before I decided to stand up and ask for it myself. I informed her that the chips were still and she looked at me and took the chips and walked away. When she brought freshly made ones is when she brought her food. So obviously we didn't eat them. The philly cheese steak was delicious though I probably would have tasted better had it been warm, but I had to wait until the server came back to ask for mayo. At that point we weren't hungry anymore so we took all of our food to go. I asked if she could take the chips off since we didn't touch them and she just looked at me and walked up. When she brought the check back the chips were still on the receipt so we did take them with us. All in all if I had known that I was going to go home and microwave my food later I probably would have just bought the stuff at Walmart and saved myself $53. Customer service is what keeps places in business and I think the server definitely needs a...
