Kwik Shoppe Drive In — Restaurant in Shoemakersville

I would have given a 5 but because of 1 employee I had to go a 4.I've been going there since the mid 70's I don't think anybody has been rude to me... until tonight.You could tell the girl didn't want to be there,she didn't know what a choc.sundae was,my Dusty Road hardly had any dust on it.She just wasn't very people oriented and the whole time she was making our stuff it just seemed like it was a hassle for her.I was afraid her eye make up was going to fall in our ice cream she had it on so thick.Just a disappointment.

Okay, so 3 years later. Twice now I go in and order a chocolate nut sundae and a Dusty Road. What is so hard about a chocolate nut sundae!?!? The girls said so you want nuts, I said yes. That is a chocolate nut sundae. Instead of peanuts they put walnuts!! So she dumped it out and said you want peanuts, again , I said, yes that is a chocolate nut sundae. Told them it was to go, she gives them to me without lids and no carrier. I said I need lids and a carrier. She didn't even put them in the carrier. As I was putting them in the carrier I said I believe this is your job. Sorry Kwik Shoppe, but until you get employees that know what they're doing, I'm done. I just wonder if the owner reads our reviews? I don't...

They were ready for us as we walked in the door. Two young blonde haired girls,and definitely need to be trained on customer service as far as personality. They were ready and waiting on us, but there were no smiles. There was nothing outside of getting our food and giving it to us. I am huge on customer service. The food can be good, but if the customer service as a whole is not, then I don't return. Had not been here for about 20 years, was in the area, and I decided to stop in. Probably not the same owners because it was very friendly before. The food was decent. They had some good options for ice cream and ice cream products, I probably would have got some, but I was too far from home, and it would have melted. Other than the girls not being very personable, I would recommend it to others who may not mind that. I'm not trying to be mean, but after 40 yrs in customer service, I know what is needed. And that can make or break a business. There are smaller booths inside and there are some tables outside...

Have been going to this place since I was a little girl- for over 40 years. Always loved their ice cream. However, they have too many unsupervised young people working there now. My order either gets messed up or the service is just really bad. We stopped in tonight and I ordered a med cone and clearly got a very small (which would’ve been fine but we were charged for a medium). The girl who took our order and the one who served the ice cream were talking to each other the entire time and not paying attention to customers. Did not greet us. Did not say thanks. I remember the service use to be so friendly and attentive. Will continue to go there as it’s nostalgic to me but hoping for eventual...
