Peter's is a fine dining experience! Tonight we had the scallop appetizer and the jumbo shrimp cocktail Both were delightful! I had the 10 oz. fliet (my favorite choice) and the wife had the ribeye. The filet was a perfect medium and I requested a few less peppercorns in the sauce and it was perfect. The ribeye was served with sauteed onions, mushrooms and peppers and was very nice. The ribeye was so buttery and perfectly broiled. The vegetables are always cooked to a nice bite, and we are always served cured olives and homestyle bread and butter. I had the creme brulee and my wife had the tiramisu. Both were fantastic! the creme brulee rivaled anything I had in France (I was lucky enough to live there for two months) and the tiramisu is not to be missed. It has unmistakable coffee and frangelico flavors, and is the highlight of the meal. We didn't have it tonight, but if you have never had the rice pudding, make sure someone in your group orders it. Sounds very basic, but tastes like heaven. Even the coffee was great, so good I had the wife try mine and she agreed. We also saw lots of orders of the salmon and swordfish heading out to other tables. I'm surprised at any of the negative reviews. The staff is always attentive and obviously well trained, and they look happy to be working at this fine restaurant. This place is not pretentious, it's just a great dining experience. They just redecorated the dining areas and the bar, and it looks great. The bar area had a patron on every stool, and everyone looked happy to me. This is not some hipster hang out, this is classic cuisine, and the locals are there in force. I highly recommend this out of the way gem near Shohola. I'm no culinary snob, but I know...
Read morePeter's Europa House is a spectacular experience. Everything works as one, in unison. The hospitality, vibe, ambiance and of course food are all unparalleled.
Began with Peter's world famous garlic mushroom soup that certainly lived up to its reputation. Served in a giant bowl - portion. The Chianti was curated not just selected by Peter. For the quality, it was a bargain. Also had an Altos Cougarito, which contains Tequila and pomegranate, reminiscent of a Brazilian Caiperinha, but more inventive. Served with salt around the rim with a nod to Margarita lovers worldwide. The drink came with a paper straw. Nice touch. We have too much plastic waste.
Had two 5 once filet mignon in pastry with cheese. Deliciously prepared to perfection. Desert was this homemade berry cobbler served warm with vanilla ice cream on the side. Again, perfection. Best luxurious ice cream ever.
Peter's Europa House is a place dedicated to ,caringi and love, in everything they do. We arrived several minutes late because of fog and poor planning. Peter himself welcomed us with literal open arms and ushered us to our table.
Tables were tastefully set with white linen and gold napkins. There were pepper corn and salt Mills. The salt likely pink Tibetan. Glasses were spotless. Lighting was not overpowering but you could still see the menu. Everything so we'll conceived and executed.
Peter's Europa House is dedicated to perfection and their customers. Clearly this is a labor of love. When you go to Peter's expect to be overwhelmed. Best of all, it is all authentic. Peter's Europa House a place of Love...
