I really wanted to give this place a five star rating however I am unable to. I would like to clearly state why I can’t and the main reason is that they offer no portions for a child. If you have been to this place, it is no mystery that the prices are on the higher side.. a bowl with a little bit of Base along with some fruits and perhaps a bit of Honey and some cookie butter will set you back $14 each. I brought my six-year-old with me and I can eat one by myself, but they offer nothing for a child of that size so I bought her one and the majority of it was wasted. ($28 plus tip for one adult and a child) We were not going home, so there was no way to bring it home for later. This is mainly the reason why I don’t believe I will be back because as a family we do things together. As far as the service goes while it is slow, the food is worth it In regard to the taste, but it was very, very cold inside, and we were unable to stay in there to eat. Unfortunately, not having any sort of child size options means that this was going to be our only visit I would say that beside the price and that being a little bit of a downside, everything did...
Read moreLocated in Shoreview, MN, this cute smoothie bowl shop offers much more than just smoothie bowls. Their menu includes smoothie drinks, sea moss, boba tea, ice cream, and coffee. During my visit, I decided to indulge in a coffee treat and requested an off-menu item - an Affogato!
We sampled several delicious items during my visit:
Nirvana bowl: A blend of Açaí, pitaya, coconut, and blue majik, topped with granola, coconut flakes, and customized with pistachio butter, hemp hearts, and honey.
Build your own bowl: Featuring matcha, Açaí, and chia pudding, topped with blueberries, strawberries, kiwi, and a dollop of pistachio butter.
Affogato: Chocolate malt crumble ice cream with a shot of espresso poured over it.
Thank you, @powlsmoothieandbowl, for inviting us to experience your delightful smoothie bowls today. Every bite was...
Read moreWe traveled from Kansas to visit Minnesota and stopped at Powl's for lunch at 12:30pm on 8/2. Annir was very helpful, kind, and quick to make food for the 5 of us. Their wraps and acai bowls were divine, as was their iced coffee late. Such a great experience that we came back the following morning for breakfast! The bathroom was pretty dirty however, but the dining atmosphere was great. Be prepared, the AC is cranked up so it was freezing. We highly recommend if you're looking for a healthy option. It is expensive but so worth it for those concerned about their health and nutrition. P.S. if you show the cashier that you've left a review, you...
