Heard great things about how good there homemade bread was. Got a chicken salad sandwich and turkey sandwich. Was a sandwich you'd make at home but for $10. Not worth it. Cons: It was legit just deli meat, a slice of tomato and some lettuce on a bun. The bun did not taste homemade. It tasted the same as one you'd get out of the package. Very disappointed!! Pros: The piece of cake that came with each sandwich was delicious (brown blob in the pic). Staff was friendly and the sandwich came out right away. Bias: we took it to go so maybe that made it a little worse but still ate with 15 minutes of getting it from the restaurant. If this is not their homemade bread, please comment and let me know and I'll be happy to go back and eat there. I love good homemade bread!

Edit: I left my purse and returned. My purse was as I left it and I decided to have a salad. I'm really glad I did because it always fantastic! The California chicken club salad is huge, delicious, and very satisfying. There must have been an entire pound of chicken and there was half an avocado on it. Strangest pizza ever! It is a nice little lunch spot with a delicious tomato basil soup and turkey sandwich. The kids enjoyed their chicken strips and cat fish. The chopped beef sandwich was not very good but then we have really high standards for BBQ.

Everything about this place is perfect. The food is fantastic. Service is fast, friendly, and accommodating. The place is spacious and clean. Parking is easy. Our first day in town, we were doing errands and started looking for lunch nearby. I looked on Google for “lunch near me” and this popped up. I said to my husband, “This has unusually high ratings and it’s close - let’s check it out.” He hardly ever gives rave reviews to anyplace, but as we were leaving, he said, “There’s a reason for those high ratings.”

This is a delightful place with an openness that strives for a homey look.and feel. And they achieved it . I'm not a burger fan, it is not my favorite meal, but it was tempting! They offered two daily specials. One was beef tips and rice, looked yummy, but the chicken fried steak with creamy Mashed potatoes and homemade bread,!!! To die for! They generously provided2 pats of butter! This bread was warm, buttery and soooo soft!. I chose the turnip greens as my side item. I was not disappointed. I had begun my meal with a very tasty bowl of creamy tomato soup! That was thick and smooth and creamy. I could have stopped there, but being diabetic,I had to have some major protein. Enter chicken fried steak. It came to the table as an appetizer. It was filling but I had not had anything to eat. Their plate size burgers arrived. It had the veggies and condiments on the side! The hamburger rolls were homemade! They came with quite a pile of crispy fries. This restaurant offered 10 different salads cobb ,side, chicken(grilled) with spring mix and cheese tomatoes, avocado, and homemade croutons . They also had fried fish and shrimp salads. And they had to get me a to go box! The desserts were chocolate Baked sugar cookies with buttercremfrosting. The other dessert was called casino cake. TO DIE FOR,!!! IT RESEMBLES A DING DONG BUT TASTES THREE TIMES BETTER AND RICH VELVETLY CHOCOLATE ! It was a bit more than avg for so it Cost a bit more! I...

We were traveling through Shreveport on the way back to Texas and decided to give this place a try. This is what we experienced:

1: The customer service was non-existent - The person taking out order was barely audible and wipe not even attempt actually look up at us and speak clearly. She then asked questions that we kept having to repeat our answers. They did kit explain the seating arrangements, where the silverware was, where cups or straws and etc were.

2: The sweet tea container was labeled as “Sweetened”. It ended up being unsweet, which is not a big deal, so I just poured it out and tried another container. The issue with the tea, both sweet and unsweetened, is that it all tasted “earth”, like dirt.

3: Shrimp PO-Boy and Boiled Shrimp plate were a 1 out of 5 stars for taste, and just overall seasoning and etc.

It was just a very unfriendly environment and not a place we will go back to...

Found this place searching for burgers with avacado, and it was new to us, so we tried it out. It was easy to find, menus were readily available, the line was short, and now I can't leave.

Staff were polite, the little cafe atmosphere was nice, and the table service was appreciated. Even the other patrons spoke softly, and didn't disrupt anyone around them. Overall a nice place to be, and now we live there.

My wife loved their gumbo. I loved the burger. It was just small enough to fit in my mouth. Any larger and I wouldn't have been able to bite it. So now we can't find our way out.

We left a tip, and worked our way out of the smallish parking lot. Traffic is light right about there, so leaving and going home was no problem. Oh God how does...
