Tivoli Tavern — Restaurant in Shrewsbury Township

“Someone’s pissy here?” That was the reaction we received from the owner when we dared to comment after waiting 20 minutes for any service and half an hour to get drinks, with a reservation. We try to support local businesses, but the Tivoli Tavern was a huge disappointment. The wait staff ran off their feet and we didn’t blame them, but the reaction from the owners was unacceptable. They treated us like we were unwanted and disposable, not customers who planned to favor this restaurant. Instead we were dismissed with a “go on your merry way.” What a way to be treated. Don’t bother going. Head north to the D&D where at least the food is consistent and the service is attentive. Plus they have many more draft beer options. Skip the Tivoli Tavern. Drive on by.

Went here on a busy Saturday night with our family. We were a party of 17 which included my 2 and 4 year old sons. My experience was less than ideal and with small children and a large group I wasn’t able to voice my concerns and just paid the tab and left disappointed and unsatisfied. After hastily leaving an unfavorable review the owners reached out to me directly to rectify the situation. I am happy to support a business that respects and cares about their customers experiences. We made dinner plans with friends to visit for the first time under the new ownership. When we got there, they were experiencing a power outage. We had to wait a short time to order since they were running the generator and waiting to get everything fired up. Our server was Emily. She did a great job! The food was amazing!
