The cake that was delivered was beautiful but tasted nothing like the cake at our tasting. After receiving 2 tasting boxes, my fiance and I decided on the coconut flavored cake with cream cheese frosting. The tasting boxes included 6 flavors, each with 3 frostings to try with each cake flavor, including a raspberry filling that I could also try with the combinations. Each flavor was moist and delicious, but the coconut flavor was out of this world. I was so excited to add the wedding cake to our menu, as I know the guests would love it. When it was time for the cake cutting, I happily bit into my piece. Like I said, the cake was aesthically pleasing, but tasted like a plain, boring vanilla cake. The frosting was clearly vanilla as was the cake portion. It didn't taste bad, but I wouldn't have paid 700 bucks for it had I known it wouldn't have wowed me or my guests. So, I waited a couple of days trying to unwind from the big event with a large portion of the cake uneaten and in the fridge. I reached out to the baker and owner of the shop and explained the discrepancy we had in the cake flavor. She explained that she had made the cake herself, and that the wedding cake was a larger batch than the tasting, and it was normal for a difference in taste. I explained to her that there was no hint of coconut in the cake, and that no one would be satisfied with such a difference between their cake and the tasting. (After the wedding, I even asked some of my guests if they tasted any coconut in their cake, and no one had.) I offered to bring a piece for her to try as I was interested in some sort of discount or refund, and after several days I received no response! Weddings are expensive and we deserve to get what we pay for. Sadly, that's not always the case. I'd be wary of an individual who won't even acknowledge complaints and could possibly even make a cake with a disappointing flavor profile. No one deserves that on their wedding day, especially at the cost of $700. I didn't want anyone else to have a similar...
Read moreThe woman I dealt with was so rude to me and disregarded me and my concerns. I have asked for a cake and got nothing that I had asked for for my daughter’s gender reveal. I was sooo disappointed and embarrassed to show that cake. but that’s beside the point. the worst part is I had reserved her to make a cake for my daughter’s coming shower. 3 months after the reveal. And being very stressed and having a big shower with a lot of people I wanted to make sure that she did not forget. Upon our text she looked at the cake she said no problem we will do the cake I remember for this date etc. etc. A week later I text her back saying you did not respond to me for the price so I can send you the money. And just a month before the shower she said she didn’t have time. When it was booked 3 months prior plus we had talked until that month that she cancelled before the shower. she decided to tell me she didn’t have time when I had reserved for months prior and we had confirmed the week before she cancelled on me that she would do the cake. So now I’m going crazy looking for people to do my daughter’s shower cake and you know a lot of people couldn’t because they’re booked. Anyway do not go there if you don’t have a $500 cake to have Done. She is not interested in doing them. I don’t know if she was the owner or not but she takes care of everything. She treats you like you’re dumb. I will make sure all my friends that went there never go there again! She’s about to lose a...
Read moreI have never felt so disregarded about an issue that could have easily been addressed. I am a very reasonable person, but I have learned through this experience that the owner of this establishment is not. I can attach the email exchange from the owner if needed. I ordered a Neapolitan cake for my friend's birthday. I specifically ordered from B's after we tried their Neapolitan cake slice from their case. This cake slice had three separate layers (vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry) like any traditional Neapolitan cake.
Unfortunately, the cake I received for my friend's birthday was nothing but a marble cake. I reached out via email expecting an apology and some kind of resolution, but I was met with an unconcerned response. The owner told me that their normal Neapolitan cake is marble and that the cake slice I had from them previously was three separate flavors because they needed to get rid of extra cake.
The cake I received literally ruined my friend's birthday as he was looking forward to this specific cake from B's. It was thrown in the trash the same night. A complete waste of time and money. I will never order from this place again. Their concern for customer satisfaction is nonexistent. I have warned my family...
