IF YOURE HERE ON THE REMODEL DO NOT GO HERE! If you’re an outsider you’re not welcome.
New to Texas, here working on a three month project. Really wanted to experience my first crawfish boil. Very first time I walked in I was very rudely told to come back to the entrance where they demanded I pay a five dollar cover when they were only open for another 30 minutes( they close at midnight which makes zero sense) No band no dj and the place was empty but still needed to pay, left and found a much better location close by. But again I wanted to try a crawfish boil and returned a couple weeks later. Went to the bar to order a drink and asked the bartender whom turned out to be the manager if they had any specials. Very stern and rude NO was given, ok that’s fine. Asked if they had specials through the week and again with a scowl was told no. Reached in my wallet to pull cash out to order and she then told me that I would not be served. I’ve worked the bar industry for many years and like to believe that I treat staff with respect everywhere I go. Couldn’t believe how rudely I was treated AGAIN especially by a manager. I’ve gone to a few other places around the area and been treated just fine, made friends, and spent hundreds of dollars while tipping generously (again been in the industry in large cities all over the nation and always tip). I did however come in before my shift one day and received FANTASTIC service from Monica. Just a few drinks but I tipped...
Read moreThe Honky Tonk is the venue we chose for my Mom's 100th birthday celebration because of it's size and parking. It is large with a huge dance floor. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. It was karaoke night which was also a big hit. The DJ was patient and helpful with our antics (and out of tune singing lol) Our out of state family were really impressed with the small town hospitality, love and whole vibe in general. Thank you Honky Tonk for helping make my Mom's birthday so very awesome...
Read moreGreat place. The owner needs to fix the left speaker stack though, the drivers are jacked up. Other than that it's a cool place. Staff is nice, could use maybe another bartender as the line gets long and it really seems that some of the bartenders could step it up a little and hustle a little when it's packed like it was tonight. The food is good, no smoking is nice. Nothing really negative going on for it...
