Mi Pueblo — Restaurant in Silsbee

I’m not a complainer about restaurants. Not on social media anyways. And I am pretty picky about where I ate, not a big fan of Mi Pueblo in silsbee or lumberton. I like more of the authentic Mexican food. Not TexMex. But it is right down the road from my work so it’s convenient. Last week I got a botanos platter. Didn’t get my flautos on my plate. And today…..I asked for fajita flameado and there was NO QUESO on it. Called and was told everything is measured. And they put 4oz of queso! Literally there was not even 1/2 TSP OF QUESO UNDER THE 1/4 inch of shredded cheese, grease, and lack of meat. I ate it but that was the worst version of a flameado that I’ve ever seen. On the menu it starts with the description of the item as a DEEP DISH! There was nothing that was deep about that plate. I’ll drive to Lumberton for Mexican food on my lunch. If I could’ve just messaged the manager I would have. My co-worker and I both ordered the same dish. Same situation with...

Incident September 8, 2021. This place has roaches. Our to go platter’s rice had a roach cooked into it. We were offered a refund only to have to bring all the food back which would’ve been trashed. My family is recovering from covid we had to come into the facility to sign for it since my child is the one who picked up had to drive back two towns over even told them we were recovering from covid but the owner said sorry we had to sign off. They went through the containers, the very food we returned I said the bug is still in the rice. No gloves. Disappointed the manager had to go through our partially eaten food to prove it wasn’t edible. They kept their full 15% tip too that was supposed to be gratitude and appreciation considering their dining was closed. I’ve never been more disappointed. Normally I have no complaints but today I left mad. We were seated and given chips and salsa and was told someone would be over to take our order. 25 minutes later, we had finished our chips and still didn't have drinks nore was the order ever taken. There were people sitting around us and a server walked by several times. We watched a table kitty corner to us be seated, get a drinks and get their food order taken as well as people sitting across from us get to go drinks and to go queso. All the while my husband, daughter and I were still sitting there unattended. After trying to flag down a waiter and still getting ignored, we walked out.
