Arnie's Drive In — Restaurant in Silver Creek Township

Wanted to try their new breakfast menu. It looked so good! Now, considering they were short-staffed, the lady waiting on us, was doing double duty, the service was as good as it could be. However, the lobby smelled like it was mopped with a dirty mop, and food quality wasn't good. The hubs and daughter had chix and biscuits. They liked them, but, for $13, the portions were quite skimpy. The coffee was extremely weak, and cold. I had the The Rizzy, which didn't seem fresh. The bacon was cold,fatty,stuck to my teeth, and hard to chew. The drinks were bad, I think from the water's mineral levels- strong taste of iron.The potatoes were good. We tried Arnies on opening day. Expectantly, the food took a little longer to get, but it was well worth the wait and journey. I ordered smashed burger topped with candied bacon, fried Velveeta cheese, lettuce, tomato, slathered in Arnies sauce and sandwiched in a bacon fat brioche bun. It was a party in my mouth. The fries had an addictive seasoning on them which left me wanting for more. They also have a lip-smacking homemade ranch that you must have if you are a ranch connoisseur like I am. It is good to see that this young entrepreneur keeps acquiring good things from the past and turning them into better things for the future. The burgers we got were just OK but not for the prices paid. Not a fan of nickle & diming for each condiment, which adds to the cost. Paid $1.25 for a slice of onion, tomato & lettuce, and received none. Also not a fan of asking for a tip before you receive your incomplete order. Just adds to the already high costs. The fries and onion rings were extremely soggy. The pizza was also soggy, which is weird because it didn't have any sauce. We got an off the shelf pizza that had pepperoni, little sausage an ham.
