We recently celebrated our anniversary at VUE North in Two Harbors, MN, and were absolutely blown away by the exceptional experience! We’ve visited this spot in the past when it was Silver Creek Chophouse, and while the name, menu, and concept have changed, the quality of the food and service remains just as incredible—but now at a more affordable price.
Our anniversary dinner was made extra special by our server, Diana, who greeted us with a warm smile and even remembered us from previous visits! She recommended a fantastic wine, Tommasi Amarone della Valpolicella Classico, which paired perfectly with our meal. We started with a delicious charcuterie board and a small Caesar salad, followed by a perfectly cooked filet mignon with a lobster Hasselback potato for me and the tender braised short ribs with garlic mashed potatoes for my husband. To top it all off, we enjoyed one of our favorite desserts, crème brûlée—it was the perfect ending to a perfect evening.
We loved the experience so much that we decided to return this morning for breakfast, and it didn’t disappoint. Diana was our server again, and her excellent service made us feel like regulars. We enjoyed buttermilk pancakes, a mimosa, eggs Benedict, and red chilaquiles that were absolutely AMAZING. The restaurant had a festive holiday morning planned, complete with Santa, the Grinch, and fun family activities in the lobby—it was such a joy to see the holiday spirit alive and well.
The new menu is outstanding, and we’re thrilled to see this restaurant thriving under its new name and concept. We can’t wait to come back, not just during this trip but every time we’re in the area. Thank you, VUE North, for making our anniversary and breakfast so memorable—we hope to enjoy your delicious food and warm atmosphere for...
Read moreCame with a party of four on a Saturday night. Our server Fabian was friendly, professional, and helpful, and I will give him full marks.
The atmosphere felt a bit off - I suspect it could be fixed with more diners, but the whole place felt cold, grey, and empty. I think some booths or divisions in general would help it not to feel like just one big room with a bunch of tables put in it. The music also didn't fit the restaurant very well in my opinion.
I ordered the Vue North burger and it came out cold and messy-looking, with cheese pouring down the sides of it. The burger was well cooked but it was obvious that it had been sitting for a while before being served. The fries were also cold and underseasoned. Some other members of my party ordered pizza which came out undercooked.
We also didn't like how the food was served on wooden boards rather than plates but that is a minor complaint.
Overall a bit disappointing unfortunately. Would...
Read moreFor starters the lingonberry goat cheese salad was fabulous. The other meals served looked great as well. Rated a 3 because of the pizza. The sauce was overly sweet and the crust was bland flour flavored. It was served with the cheese burned overdone and the crust on the edge was as hard as a lake superior rock, the crumb was very dense with almost no pockets of air that you would expect. Other than the fresh basil it had a overall poor taste profile definately not a neopolatin pizza. The pizza is not worth the price here. No complaints on any of the other food served. The seasonal drinks were great and the dining experience was so pleasant looking over the lake. Server was busy but managed to keep tabs on drinks and...
