Brackney Inn — Restaurant in Silver Lake Township

I used to LOVE going here for Prime Rib night 8 years ago, but due to circumstance I hadn't been in many years. I now live very close by again and was so excited to go back again for some delicious Prime rib. I was SEVERELY disappointed. Waitress was great but the food was absolutely AWFUL. Prime rib was cold and didn't taste good at all, more like it had been boiled and had no flavor. I asked for mashed potatoes because baked was not an option, and they were obviously boxed and were covered in some melted butter flavored oil extremely greasy. And as for the mixed veggies, there is overcooked and then there were these. They were cooked to death, had no color and were absolute mush. The first time it opened, we checked it out. The food service was terrible. Our meal was delivered in stages. We were finished with our meat and veggies before the baked potato was served. We ended up eating it as our dessert. The food was good. We then tried it AGAIN. The food service has not improved AT ALL. My husband's soup was only delivered after we reminded our server. My friend's meal was only delivered after my husband was completely done with his meal. Half of my meal was mixed up with another person's meal. This is your typical little back woods bar with locals and visitors. You're never out of place in this bar and restaurant whether you've been sailing all day, wearing your slinky dress, hunting, or off tower.

The food is pretty good, and everything is reasonably priced given that this is pretty far off the beaten path. I wouldhave suggest burgers or wings and ranchrehearsal fries. The real bargain at the brackney inn is the drinks! No one beats the prices, it is easy to drink all night for under $10. The atmosphere changes a lot at night from day to night, so don't be frustrated if you are there in the between hours.
