Food was one of the best on mountain experiences that I have had in Colorado. Summit House could stand do a better job of communication with their staff. We came in during a snowstorm for lunch and of course the place was packed but there was plenty of seating upstairs. When we tried to go upstairs we were told by a snotty employee that it was for staff only. Then somebody came over and said we could go up. Everything else was good but somebody should have been paying attention to the influx of skiers at lunch time to free up tables. Food was great and it was quick.

I love the summer free Friday gondola ride up to the top of the mountain. I'm not sure if it's the summit house or who that sets up all the games, chairs, and family fun. We had a blast! I assume the summit house had the bar and food station. The line was long to get food so i went to the bar. The staff was great. They were very friendly and informative. I loved the water bottle fountain. We are bringing back our entire family in December so i will update you then.

They offer a variety of foods which is great considering you might be either freezing your butts off on the slopes or can barely catch your breathe if you aren't used to that kind of altitude. There was a bar but I didnt get a chance to check it out. At the time, it was a little crowded and seating was hard to find. The tube rides that are a short walk from the eatery is a MUST!!!!

Food: not good. If you care about the food don’t eat here. Ok: chicken sandwich w/honey sriracha. Person who ordered it did not want to fishing it. I thought I was ok. Sub-par: cheeseburger Poor: kids chicken strips, so dry you must use a condiment or chase it with your beverage to swallow it. Drinks: overpriced. $40 for 2 seltzers and a beer? If I remembered correct. But definitely over priced for sub McDonalds food.

Style: cafeteria style. Pick terrible food. Go to cashier. Try to find a dirty table.

Location: ok. On a scenic mountain. But couldn’t really see much from inside.

Convenience factor: excellent. This is the only reason to eat here. The convenience factor. You want to fit in as much fun winter sport as possible. You are a captive audience and you will pay way to much for terrible food.

If you need a break eat at the many restaurants at the bottom of the mountain. If you don’t care about the food or...

Some of the most beautiful views anywhere in the resort when you climb all the way up top. There's a separate bar and cafeteria style food with plenty of selection. The prices are high as can be expected but I can definitely recommend the Asian fusion style bowls for value. The restrooms are in the basement and if you don't like stairs and ski boots or winter gear you can swing around the back to take your gear off for easy access. The one recommendation I could really make to the resort would be to keep the upper deck open later as it often gets locked off in the afternoon so you can't watch the sunset or take in anything from the top level. I totally understand that they need to clean but leaving one outdoor seating area open would make Summit House...

Views fantastic as always... But buy your food at the off-site restaurants around the county. Overlook Grill Food was expensive, small portions. Not very good. Beer was over expensive. Ran out of plates and food. Planning for the holiday crowds evidently did not happen.

Staff was rude, credit machine quit, cash only..others asked if they would take a check and was treated very unprofessional. Most did not have cash. Children left upset and hungry! Had to take them back down the lift. The lodge clearly had not been cleaned since the end of ski season. Rest rooms needed attention. I remember the days when Purina owned Keystone.... Never was like this! Shame on you...
