Please know i dont usually write negative reviews, only good ones, that being said, when i have a very unpleasant experience, i do like to warn other people, so they can consider going to the other location instead of the drive-tru one. We waited close to 35 minutes to get our bagels, it all started at the window, where the young guy taking our order asked us what we wanted and then would listen to us for 10 seconds and then just turn around and talk to someone either in the kitchen or behind the counter, and continue to do this for the 5 minutes it took to JUST order the food, as he would continue turning around back to the kitchen and we would have to repeat ourselves, only for him to tell us something was no longer available, so we tried to accommodate and choose whatever was available. At the end I repeated the whole order, item by item, just to make sure it was right as he seemed confused or uninterested the whole time, and like he was not really paying attention. We were then asked to pull over forward and our order would brought to our car. 25 minutes had passed when the same guy who took our order at the window walked towards us, no food in hand, so we thought maybe he was coming towards us to apologize and maybe update us on how much longer we might wait (we ordered 2 bagels and a coffee, nothing else) but instead the guy came to our window tell us we had to move since now there are another 2 cars waiting behind us as well (BECAUSE they were taking so long) and because of US now people couldn’t get to the window…no apologies, no “can you please move forward”, nothing. We honestly were so hungry and still sleepy that we were in no mood to be confrontational, so we just obliged and moved our car even further away from the store. Another 5 minutes passed by and the same kid came out with our food, we drove off to a nearby parking lot to eat cause we were so hungry. I had asked for a poppy bagel (all they had left) with smoked salmon, onions and cream-cheese, and please NO capers. You can see in the photo i got a (stale) poppy bagel, with cream cheese, CAPERS, and 2 pieces of onion. No salmon in sight. My husband ordered a “spiced cheddar melt” and tomato on a poppy bagel (after they changed his order twice because of lack of the original bagels he had asked for, and had been told were available) and got a plain bagel with cheese, covered in oil, but at least it did have tomatoes… the order came out to around $27 total, and we never even got a receipt for me to post. We should’ve just drove back and demanded our money back, but we were already gone and hungry and upset so I am writing this review instead, trust me guys, just go to the location on MN ave and save yourselves the headache.

I don’t love writing bad reviews but this place has gotten absolutely RIDICULOUS. We have been getting bagel boy every Sunday for a long time and having a drive through used to be really nice. The last couple of times we have been here, we have waited close to AN HOUR for a couple of bagels. That being said, they aren’t even packed inside or have a huge line for drive through. The last two times, we have waited so long to not even get the correct things that we order. Unfortunately, this place has gone VERY downhill. The picture attached shows that they are not too busy and people usually spend 15 minutes here. We just got our bagels and have been here since 11:25.

The bagels are amazing! My favorites are the cinnamon crunch and Blueberry. Love the Honey Almond cream cheese. Because the bagels are so good, they were super busy. Parking lot was full and the drive thru was super long. I went inside to order and the line moved quickly. However, the employees looked exhausted and were not as upbeat as the last time I visited. They were polite. A reminder to always be kind to these workers during this busy retail season. To the owners/managers, a reminder to reward your employees who are working so hard.

I think this is the first review i’ve ever written for any establishment, and I love bagel boy, but this location is so horrendous that I just had to let everyone know. I believe the locations are owned (or at least managed by different people and it’s honestly embarrassing for the original bagel boy to even be associated with this place. The quality is nowhere near the same. The service is slooooow and rude. I was first in line— I ordered 4 toasted breakfast boys and a lady behind me ordered 6 plain bagels with cream cheese. She obviously got hers first because they didn’t go in the toaster. They got super busy after that and it took me a while to realize but they were fulfilling the drive thru orders and a few peoples orders behind me while my bagels sat at the end of the toaster getting cold. Even then, I was patient and understanding because they were busy. But I almost lost it when a delivery driver approached the counter and asked for an order under a women’s name (with a thick Somalian accent) and the older man behind the counter very quickly and rudely told him they didn’t have an order with that name and walked away— I hate to assume, but since the driver literally did nothing wrong I’m guessing the old man worker is quite racist. I could literally see the order on his phone as he frantically tried calling the girl and then ended up leaving because no one ever came back to help him. Then a worker finally came over to me and also slightly rudely asked me what I was waiting for (25 min later). They quickly grabbed my bagels off the toaster (they were already cold) and shoved them in the bag and she rudely handed them to me with no apology for the wait. The bagels weren’t cooked well, my order was wrong— not to mention their eggs are consistently 1/4 of the size of the other location, and the only person in there who has any inkling of customer service skills was the younger guy who was making the lattes today while I was there. I won’t be back...

Every couple of months I take my youngest for her favorite and most requested breakfast, plain bagel with strawberry cream cheese. The last 2 times have been ridiculous. Whoever this newer guy that works there is, he's not helpful in any way. We always order untoasted bagels, the first experience with this guy was at the drive thru, 40 minutes after ordering he tries to hand bagels to me that took so long because he toasted them... not sure how the instructions could get confusing but, okay? Then this morning I decided to go inside instead, he was at the register and took 2 orders before it was my turn, and when he was done with those orders he went to the window and I was left waiting to order for an additional 10 minutes, 2 other people were working and looked at me several times but never asked if I had even ordered. Finally one of them came over, after she was done with everything else that was her priority, and took my order, I paid and proceeded to wait, there was 1 other person waiting after me so she took their order too.... they got their food from that same person before I did, I didn't see any sign of my order being prepared. 10 minutes later the same woman who took my order looked at me and said "did you have a toasted bagel?" And I said no, she said "oh well I wonder what's taking yours so long.... who took your order?" I was in disbelief as this woman completely forgot taking my order and the place wasn't even busy! I'm talking 1 car in drive thru and me and maybe 2 other people ordering inside. This location is so convenient for me, but the service over the last 6 months has gone straight to the garbage, they really need to figure out a different process....
