Mazzio’s Pizza & Wings — Restaurant in Skiatook

To say the least I am absolutely disgusted and in disbelief with the way this place treats people. I have worked not only in many customer service/ restaurant work environments, but also law enforcement situations. My boyfriend and I decided to try italian food here and thought this place looked alright. We get in and the woman taking our order was clearly on something, I’m no stranger to what all different types of drugs cause you to look, and act like. Her eyes were heavy, the jaw movements, the pausing and sloth-like movements and expressions. It took about 15-20 mins to order a pizza and wings because of how out of her mind she was. We sat down and looked around to see a floor/tables that haven’t been cleaned in a hot minute. The woman brought out a pizza and wings that were completely wrong. We let her know and she continued with those slow movements and expressions. She went to the kitchen to see something, then took it to another couple who were irritated at that point too because it wasn’t their order either. We decided with how many things seemed off it would be best to just ask for a refund and leave. The woman who took our order tried to come and bring us wings and my boyfriend said “can I just please speak with the manager” 2nd time btw. The manager then flipped the whole situation onto us, she said “do y’all know how disrespectful you are?” “Impatient kids” “You shouldn’t judge”. Pretended like she couldn’t find our receipt that we could see. Lectured us making us look like disrespectful kids. That’s not who we are. 10/21/22 Decided to see if things had improved at the store. Store supposedly opens for lunch at 10:30 AM. I showed up at 10:50 and doors were locked. Employee came to the door at 10:55 and told me she was not unlocking the doors for another 10 minutes, and relocked the door. I left and had lunch at one of the half dozen other places right down the road that were open.

Stopped in for lunch. Stood at order area for several minutes before having to ask someone in kitchen for service. The register/computer is so dirty it looks like it was pulled out of a grungy mechanic shop. Staff member didn't wash hands before going back to work in kitchen. Employees' coats piled on food counter. Brown Lettuce on the salad bar, hard to see though because light is burned out above salad items. Tables need bussed. Country music blaring in kitchen as loud as pop music on dining room loud speakers. Bathrooms look like what you'd expect at a sketchy gas station, not a restaurant.

It's a shame what shape this place is, and a shame Mazzios corporate lets it operate this way. I understand everything is understaffed days and the pay sucks, but show some pride in your workplace. Not to mention cleanliness is critical nowdays.

Absolute chaos, 50 min wait for 2 medium pizzas. NO Explanation.

NEXT VISIT: My son wanted to come here for his Birthday.... So not my choice. I believe in all honesty that it was just simply an understaffed situation. I was not going to add to this review until one of the staff members berated a group of elderly individuals because they asked for some plates for the salad bar. One of the ladies was very obviously shaken and upset. The tables were not being bussed.

Our food took 35 minutes to even begin arriving to our table and about 50 minutes total delivery time.

Another customer saw me taking pictures then came up to my table to let me know that if I was planning on calling and complaining that it would do no good. It seems like this place has not been kept up like it was in the past. The bathroom was pretty gross, if you look in the pictures you can see that there's boogers and other schmears on the walls.

The food on the salad bar was surprisingly excellent, the food that was delivered to our table was exceptional. I'm so torn about this location, trying to support a place that has been in town for so long, but also tired of the long wait times and sometimes downright disrespectful treatment of myself and...
