Second time here. First time we went on their first Friday open and it was a bit of a calamity. You could say that the service was slow but really it seemed that the kitchen was way backed up and food was taking forever to come out. Our waiter was trying his hardest but some people were clearly irritated and the inadequate air conditioning was just exacerbating the situation... I expected as much under the circumstances. Tonight I thought I would give it another try as a few weeks have passed and this would be a slow Tuesday night for a fair second assessment. I arrived to find several open tables but no hostess or servers to direct me to a table... So I took a booth in a section that was half-occupied. In return my presence went unnoticed, no server for several minutes (literally), while the other staff seemed to ignore our arrival and assist other/their tables. Ok, so I crashed a table and this is fine. BTW, the room temperature was better this time although it still seemed a bit stuffy, especially for the moderate number of carnivores present, but it was a warm day(?). Finally the bus boy tips off the server and we get squared away with our order; a pizza, half plain and half sausage/peppers/onions, and 3 drinks. At this point forward our service went from zero to superb! Pizza came out timely and served on a pizza peel (with no sides) and on a table stand. This is a classy presentation but the truth is that I could immediately see that there was a lot of liquid souped up on the pie... This was going to be messy! I soaked up some of the excess water (not grease) with some paper napkins and proceeded to serve my table. The pies have an extraordinary amount of cheese and toppings, normally a good thing, but this did complicate my satisfaction. It seemed that the SPO side of the pizza was undercooked and thus quite soupy due to all the toppings; some liquid began running off of the peel onto the table. I would have liked it cooked for a few more minutes, personally. The plain (or extra cheese!) side was fine, however. In either case, the cheese was melted and still "stringy" but the temperature was warm and immediately edible, I thought it would be much hotter straight from the oven. Never the less, aside from the mess and cooking inconsistency the taste was good and very filling. Overall satisfied with the food (both visits) but not uniquely impressed. Meantime, everything else that came out appeared to be nicely prepared and large portions, and customers appeared generally pleased. I will remain a customer and hope that the rough edges get smoothed out quickly. It is worth a visit if you are looking for a casual Italian joint with an expansive menu. I think this place will stay around for a while, they do have the potential to be excellent......
Read moreFood and service were solid months ago. Still kept it through March as our weekly eat out pizza place as we wanted to support them. As the weeks went on they got less and less organized. Their quote times were dramatically low compared to what we would wait for food. You would stand there outside for 30-45 min past quote time waiting on someone to tell you what’s going on. Then they missed items in the bag. Then after waiting outside for 30min past our quote time for the food we finally took it home and it was cold. We stayed away for a few weeks, had some solid experiences other places and wanted to try them again. Big mistake. Ordered at 545 quoted an hour for wing and a cheesesteak, we went and picked up food for our kids other places because they forgot their food the one time. Got there just before 7 did not leave with the food until 745. By this point the other food we had paid for was cold and ruined. Turns out they didn’t even start making it until we had already been there a while. An honest quote time, a respectful employee, a sincere apology would be more than enough. Things happen, but they are happening here all the time now and they could care less about customer service as long as they get your money. Well they will no longer get mine. I read the other reviews on here and the openers praise the positive and refuse ton take accountability to the criticism. I am sure this will be no different. When their food is hot and they care it’s great, but think twice before ordering here there are other non chains in the area that care about their customers you...
Read moreReally want to support them but as mentioned by other reviewers they seem to be really disorganized now especially when the owners are not around. Last couple of times the wait time has been substantially more than quoted. Tonight might have the last straw for us and we will think twice again about ordering from them. As mentioned, their quote times were dramatically low compared to what we would wait for food. Ordered at 6:18 tonight and was quoted 35 minutes for wings, a wrap, and a sandwich. Got there just before 7 and waited until 7:25 before I had had enough waiting and just asked for my money back. I knew I was in trouble when the poor lady next to me showed me on her phone that she had ordered before 6 and was still waiting. They seemed to be giving priority to really big orders that were coming out and I guess the smaller orders were just falling by the wayside. When I asked for my money back she offered to check in the kitchen on the status of my order but never came back. So I asked the other person at the window. She said she wasn’t authorized to give refunds. I had paid in cash. I told her it really wasn’t a refund since I didn’t get anything. She asked me if I wanted her to call the owners. I said yes please call the owners. After speaking with the owners she did give me my money back. I am not sure if they had even ever started making our food. An honest quote time would be more than enough. If it is going to be 90 minutes then just tell me it is going to...
