Bayside Inn Restaurant — Restaurant in Smith Island

Alright, ill give them credit where it's due, they do a pretty good job of serving people their food given that they have to deal with a large rush of people at once, but that's about it.

Maybe if your goal is heartburn and dissapointment then you can go here, they have the advantage of being one of the only resturaunts on the island but I wouldn't expect anything much if you go here. Staff is friendly though, but honestly I've had better smith Island cakes off of smith Island. I swear, I asked if it it was fresh and they told me "yeah its only about three or four days old.". I mean I can understand being made the day before but if you have leftover stock after half a week then you're just making too much. I tried almost all the cake flavors as my party was pretty large too, and I have to say it wasn't good enough to wow me, especially not for the price, not something to take home as the boat ride back will...

Waited about an hour from the time we arrived to the time we got our food. People who sat down after us got their order 15-20 minutes sooner than we did. Food arrived to our table cold and wasn’t great. Not worth even half the price. The whole restaurant smelled like rancid(old) fryer grease as did the food. Really enjoyed visiting Smith Island and the Bayside Inn Restaurant. We had a map of the island and journeyed around right off the ferry checking out the history.
