I'm vegan, so my takeout order was a vegan plate with rice and peas and vegetables, which are cooked in coconut oil. The rice and peas were mild and coconut oil taste was a little too strong, but ok. The vegetables were supposed to be cabbage and carrots, but it was mostly cabbage with a tiny sprinkling of carrot shreds. Even though I did not taste any carrot, it was yummy and healthy. Food for the soul! Definitely would eat again. Generous portions. (See photo.) I also ordered the spinach pattie, which had a little more of a spicy kick to it. Yum!! The best spinach pattie ever! I wish I had gotten two. (See photos, including inside after taking a bite.) Friendly service. I look forward to returning next time I'm in Snow Hill Thurs-Sat. (Their days/hours are limited.) They were quite busy when I visited, and all the meat eaters I saw at the outside table looked like they were enjoying their food.

I was blessed to randomly visit this gem again. Great service, genuinely nice people, and for the cherry on top, excellent food! AGAIN! I now know that I can expect the same quality, and service from this small, middle of nowhere, quaint, rustic joint. Nothing but love put into this Jamaican cuisine. I will visit again every chance I get. I ordered oxtails with rice and peas, and a beef pie… OMG I’m sure I will never be disappointed in the future. So good to see this place still going and cooking and serving Jamaican love. Thank you Thank you

Finally!!!! I have been trying to catch this place for the longest, and they did NOT disappoint. Authentic Jamaican cuisine at its finest and the portions were very generous. The owner made a special order of Brown Stewed Snapper w/ extra gravy for me, and it was fantastic!!! The cabbage is to KiLL for!!! The homemade Sorrell was awesome and they have 1/2 gallon jugs of it 🤪 I highly recommend this spot and I will definitely be back!!!

I usually don't do reviews but I have to be honest...the food was TERRIBLE. For 25 dollars I got a "dinner" which was more like a child sized portion. The oxtail was literally more fat than meat and tough. The seasoning was weak and not authentic at all. They literally gave me an oxtail bone with no meat on it. The food was not hot and I literally was so mad that I ended up throwing the plate away after just eating a third of the plate. I try so hard to support black owned businesses but again, I'm being honest here. Ive had authentic Jamaican food and let me warm you, this is NOT IT. ive read the reviews and was excited about going to get some real Jamaican food. I will never ever go there again. I wish I could get my money back. The only good part is they have a 98...

I had the awesome privilege of trying this restaurant yesterday. I wanted to Treat my husband to a birthday dinner, so I decided to take the drive to Snow Hill and try this restaurant based on the reviews. It was the best decision I could have made. We love Jamaican food but this was by far the best we have ever had. The owner asks me was this your first time? I said yes and he said try everything. I did and decided to get a sample of everything to go. I have never been somewhere where everything taste amazing. My husband loved it and it made for a great birthday celebration. We will be making this drive monthly to experience this great food! Thank you for bringing real authentic Jamaican food to...
