edit Went back with friends at lunch. Not busy at all. Service was terrible! Waitress took forever to take our drink order then our food order was SLOW! Quick to get us the check though! Won't be back. It was pretty good but just like any other local BBQ type place. Chicken nice n crunchy! Very good! Meatloaf had no tomato type topping or paste but flavorful. A little dry. Creamed potatoes NOT instant! Big plus! Gravy super super yummy! Peas were odd tasting. Cooked in something! I liked them after the third bite. I had to think on it. My friend said the veggies she had were overcooked (rutabagas and yams) Hush puppies good, big, fluffy. Needs honey butter to make outstanding! Downside: no sign to say seat yourself or wait to be seated. Only two pieces of meat and two sides allowed from buffet. It's not all you can eat! Big big bummer! So the question is would I return to this restaurant again to have another dining experience? The answer is a definite, No. Please revamp your food product line and watch your business sore. Nice...
Read moreWhile visiting family in the neighborhood, I decided to treat everyone to Take Out at Rouse's. The food here was delicious. I ordered a pork chop plate with black eye peas, cabbage, fried chicken plates with fried green tomatoes, chicken tender plate with fries, barbecue rib plate, baked beans, macaroni & cheese, hush puppies. The quality of the food was excellent for the value. My family is picky and they really enjoyed all the food. Everything was good except the BBQ ribs were extremely salty.
The variety of sides and plates is plentiful. Make this your first stop for dinner while in Snow Hill and be sure to visit on Sundays for the buffet. The fried chicken, Fish, turnip greens, sweet potatoes and hush puppies are excellent. Wonderful service. The food is made...
