My review of the Skillet Cafe: A charming and very popular place to eat. Located right next to the golf course of Snowflake's Country Club main entrance. I loved the chicken themed decorations they had everywhere. Colorful flowers decked out the front in pots and hanging baskets. There were rows of chairs outside to relax on while waiting for your turn to be seated. If you wish to sit outside to enjoy the cool country air while you eat there were picnic benches across from the entrance by the trees.

This was a casual cafe. No formal check in station. Just find a table, have a seat and a waitress will bring you a menu. We arrived at 5pm and found easy seating. When 6pm hit the restaurant was packed full with families waiting outside for their turn.

The bathrooms were decent. the food was okay. My chicken wings seamed a bit dried and was swimming in a large amount of barbecue sauce. Our onion rings were perfection. The Turkey melt was made with huge thick slices of bread and were fantastic.

Service...

Great food! I went for lunch and had one of the omelets. Delicious to taste, the toast was lightly buttered and hash browns done just right. The service was super fast too. I had my meal on my table within 5 minutes of ordering. The check came even faster as I had just started my meal. Unfortunately this closed any plans to take something with me for the road. Usually the hostess asks if you need anything else or checks on you about how everything is done, before bringing in the check, but I guess they wanted me to eat and leave quickly. Which wasn't very difficult, the food was delicious and I was able to enjoy it quickly too, though not sure why. There were enough open tables and there was no queue. Overall a good experience, probably more enjoyable if you are not a single guest.

*update - dropped another star, they changed the tip amount upwards more than what I had given. Which is...

We lovED this place, however, the disrespect our waitress had, has us going elsewhere for breakfast. She had NO personality and did not want to even serve us. We were patient and did not complain until now.

This restaurant allows you to pay via clover app. This is how we pay every Sunday. We paid our bill and left her a tip (although she Did NOT deserve even a penny). She comes out and holds the door open and customers in the restaurant; she accused us of not paying our bill. She said she will check her HAND HELD computer. Maybe she should have done that before accusing a customer. I know this restaurant needs employees, but without customers, you don’t need employees.

I give the restaurant 5 stars. The waitress 0 stars. And unless this person apologizes, we will...

Let's start with the good... The french fries were tasty nothing special but the best thing we had. The portion size for a side order was tremendous. The bad, I had the walnut chicken cranberry salad as did 3 others at my table. The lettuce mix was larger than bite size, larger than hand size for some pieces. The chicken was a grilled chicken breast; however it tasted like it had been frozen, unthawed in water and served cold. There was nothing to say it was grilled. I left feeling sick as did another from my table. I still feel sick the next day. I wouldn't say food poisoning just an upset stomach from less than quality food that was expensive.

LOVE this place! Delicious homestyle food. This is my family's typical Sunday spot, where we usually order our same favorite dishes. Literally have never had to complain...great service, clean dining and restrooms, good prices and healthy portions, and just a cozy, country, family oriented environment. Just ate here yesterday....I ordered my Denver omelet, my hubby ordered the Country Benny and our kids shared a pizza and fries from the kids menu. Only spent 33$ to feed us four, including 3 drinks. Always recommended πŸ‘Œ
