💥UPDATE: The owner has edited the response that was made last night where he called me a RACIST and added things to make me appear to be a racist by simply mentioning the words Chinese Dragons. I clearly triggered him by leaving an honest review. Why so sensitive? This whole thing could have been avoided by a simple heartfelt apology!! I would never eat somewhere that a review showed such an aggressive response by the owner. Exactly why he changed it I'm sure!!💥 How do I start? It's a wannabe bohemian hippie vibe that has a bit of an identity crisis with disco balls and Chinese dragons and lanterns also? You order yourself and it is self serve everything except they do bring the food to you. Get your own lukewarm water, bus your own table, stand in line to order...you get the idea. The problem is that they want you to tip like a regular full service restaurant. 🤔 The seating is very interesting but okay for such a small place. The tables have laminated placards on them stating to bus yourself and another to please be patient with the kitchen as orders may take a long time. This should have been our clue!🧩 We were a party 6 that turned into a party of 8. The 1st 6 waited almost exactly and hour for food 🙄 but the crazy part was how long the 2 people waited that joined us later. They waited a total of 2 HOURS for their food! Yes, you heard correctly, 2 HOURS!!!😡 We asked many times and were given quite a few snarky replies by different members of the staff. When the food finally arrived the rest of the party was so ready to leave so the 2 additional people had to eat alone. To kick it off while they we eating a staff member had the audacity to start bussing the end of their table while they were eating and making snarky noises while doing it! We give a negative number for customer service and we will never go back! Do better Cloudview Kitchen!!!

The coffee drinks and baked goods at this place are amazing! The vibe is cozy and friendly. If ordering a food item not helpfully labeled “Quick Bite,” be prepared to wait a bit during peak times. The waffle was very good. The scrambled eggs were not very good (over cooked and under seasoned) and the eggs Benedict was ok. The hollandaise was super thin and an odd white color with not a lot of flavor. I imagine some of their more specialty items like the “Bomb-mi,” pho, and clam chowder are better, so this is something of a hopeful 4 star review. Will definitely come back to try other menu items.

Love going to Cloudview kitchen. As someone with diet restrictions (gluten free, dairy free and egg free) it can be hard to find places to eat in such a small town. They are very accommodating to me. Often they will have gluten free desserts to offer in their display case. When I have had a hard time finding options on their menue they offer me suggestions. Don't forget to check their specials board for extra items there as well!! Sometimes it can be a bit of a wait on your food, but it is certainly worth it. Great food, great coffee, great atmosphere, and great service.

Recently I was in Moses Lake for a couple of months for work. I tried many restaurants and cafes in the area and Cloudview was by far the best coffee and breakfast and lunch place in the entire region. I kept going back every time I could possibly get there because the place is that good. They earned the full 5.0 stars in every category (food, service, and atmosphere). They deserve another 5.0 rating for the coffee drinks which are also by far the best in the entire region. The espresso drinks are right up there with the best drinks I've had anywhere including Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco. Served in ceramic. They also have amazing non-coffee drinks - hot and cold options. I tried many of their food menu options and everything I had was excellent. The chefs and bakers there are apparently extremely skilled at their craft. You order up at the counter, which I think works great. The counter staff are extremely friendly and personable.

I realize that this review is so glowing that it probably has some readers thinking that I'm writing this because I have some relationship with the place or the owner but that is not the case. It's just a dang good place and they deserve the accolades. I've never posted a review before but this place is so good, and the people there are so nice, I felt compelled to let you all know that you've got to get yourself to this place!

Bye the way - A few of the the other reviewers mentioned that it took a long time to get what they ordered. Sometimes that's true so just keep it in mind that this is not a fast service place - although sometimes it can be when they're not too busy. They've done everything possible (with signage and friendly verbal "warnings" when you order) to let the customers know if/when there's going to be a bit of a wait. Don't let that deter you. It's worth the wait. When it's super busy you can still get incredible baked goods and drinks...

Cloudview Kitchen is more than just a restaurant—it's a celebration of culture, flavor, and heart. The team behind this place brings creativity, soul, and diversity to the table, and it shows in every dish and interaction. Like any beloved spot that prepares fresh, thoughtful food, it can get busy during peak times. That’s part of the experience. If there’s a wait, grab one of their incredible specialty drinks, enjoy the ambiance, and connect with your company. Or simply place your order ahead. Easy. What’s not acceptable is using coded language or outright racism to tear down a space built with so much love and purpose. Cloudview Kitchen has every right to protect itself from that kind of negativity. No one should expect a business—especially one serving its community with openness and pride—to stay silent in the face of disrespect. This is a place that welcomes all, celebrates diversity, and serves food made with care and intention. If you walk in with kindness and an open mind, you’ll feel that love immediately. Cloudview Kitchen is a diamond in the community, and they deserve nothing less than...
