Extremely happy we decided to try the restaurant! As we passed by on our way to Peddler's Village, we noticed the winery had become a restaurant since we were last here several years ago.

The winery/restaurant is set in a rustic, barn style atmosphere. There is a bar with seats and a dozen or so tables. They do have an event space, but this is just the restaurant up front. They also have a couple of outside tables in a shady patio area out front.

They have a smaller menu, so we were hoping they have the recipes dialed in and they certainly do!

We started with a cheese plate appetizer that was terrific with a nice assortment of cheeses, fruit, fresh baked bread and nuts. It was really enough for four as an appetizer. Or you could pair it with a bottle of wine and it is enough as a light meal for two.

My wife had the turkey sandwich. It's real thick, carved turkey breast. The pickled slaw on a brioche roll was the perfect base. I had the short rib sandwich... delicious, tender chunks of beef. And as a pleasant change from most places, you get crisp, fresh, home-made chips, no greasy fries here. Both plates also had a few slices of tomato, some fresh greens and pickles.

They had live music while we were there (Saturday afternoon). This is a regular thing according to the signs. Young guy with an acoustic guitar. He was good and I appreciated that we could hear him without overpowering our conversation. (Note to owner: it would be nice if the bill allowed a separate tip line for the entertainer...we had no cash to tip him directly, so I gave more on the check).

The appetizers and sandwiches were $13-$19. There were several entrees that ran $20-$30, but we did not try those. Drinks and wine by the glass $12 and up.

So, not an inexpensive place, but the flavors, food and entertainment were worth the price. In all, we felt they truly delivered value...

We stopped here for lunch after passing by on Sunday.

The positives -the place has a lovely ambience and outdoor seating and they had a live band which they were playing over the speakers so the outside tables could hear as well.

The service was abysmal at best. I went inside to see if we needed to order at the bar and they told me a server would be right out. 10 minutes later someone came to take our drink and food order. About 30 minutes later they returned with a wine that I didn’t order and asked us what we did order. Based on the interaction we had a good feeling that the server forgot to put our order in. We asked her about it and she said she thought she did. I told her to go check and let me know. In the meantime other tables that had ordered after us were getting their food and drinks. We waited about 20 more minutes and she still hadn’t returned so I went inside. I calmly told her that it was unacceptable that we had been there for an hour and her customer service was disappointing. She said she would have the food rushed out, but forgot our order again and I said it was too late, paid for my drink and we left. She wasn’t accountable during our interaction.

We completely understand that mistakes happen and work in the service industry as well. If she did forget to put our food order in, I would have preferred she owned up to it and said she made a mistake. Avoiding our table and not being accountable at your job isn’t acceptable. It was clear that the whole place was poorly mismanaged and I heard other guests having the same issues as we did. It is a shame that a place with such a great atmosphere doesn’t pride themselves on...

Server was so rude, chased after us after we left the dining room (we bought tickets for the music and went to the event venue) about her tip interrupting the live music and was so loud we were so embarrassed because everyone in that section heard and saw everything. Keep in mind this was about how we didn’t tip her enough when it was a simple misunderstanding over our bill for a large party (you can’t split the bill, and parties over 6 stated on the menu** have automatic gratuity, and paying with a cc there is a 4.99% charge so we all paid with cash, we made a mistake counting all of the bills in combination with our individual checks because some of us thought the gratuity was already included and apart of our total). We felt bad that we misunderstood this it’s absolutely our fault and realizing we made a mistake we felt awful, but why would it be on the menu if that’s not what we were charged? I wouldn’t have cared if she didn’t approach us the way she did, interrupting the entire show and yelling about our bill total and how much we left her as a tip…how unprofessional do you have to be to do something like that???? I’ve worked in the service industry for 7 years as a server and I would NEVER do that no matter how upset I was with the tip… we’re never going back I’ve never felt so mortified of an experience with a server in my life! One of the members of our table got a small charcuterie board, it’s literally just different meat with nothing else on the board. No cheese or crackers or anything, like you can buy that at the grocery store for cheaper than what my...

Firstly, I want to share how amazing the service was. Typically, wine flights are only served until 3pm. We were there at around 4:30pm. Our waiter, Rocco, said that because it wasn't too busy, he could accommodate us to serve a flight. Additionally, when we wanted to know what cheeses were included, the (owner/Becca/Rebecca?? Sorry, we forget!!!) Came over to us personally to tell us the same of each cheese and flavors. Then, when we were interested in taking home more of the jelly included with the Artisan cheese board, they happily accommodated us and packed us jelly and added it to the check. It just felt like they really cared and were willing to make modifications on the spot, which was amazing. Also, last but not least, the food was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend got the roasted chicken and he was nearly gnawing at the bone. I got the reuben sandwich, which was a speciality, and the meat was incredibly tender and the sauekraut was delicious and sweet. We had a really great time here and we are definitely going to come back. As much as we wanted some of the homemade ice cream, it will have to wait until next time!!

Let me start with the positive of the atmosphere. The building is very nice and the wait staff was also super friendly. The food was highly disappointing. I ordered the fish and chips. The breading was a disappointing and I didn't like the flavor of the fish. The potatos were soggy. The cabbage Cole slaw was also soggy and tasted like a week old salad. There are plenty of bars in Doylestown that sell great fish and chips for a reasonable cost but this was $24 for sub par food. Another issue we had was the fact that we were inside and the air-conditioning mind as well be turned off. It was cooler outside than it was inside and outside was about 85 degrees. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was over 85 degrees. I never leave bad reviews because I ran a small business and I know how that can affect business but my experience was not pleasant.

What fun we had on a Saturday night listening to live music, the British Invasion. My hub reserved a high top for two and we sat comfortably with a side view which was fine. Lots of parking, clean and comfortable restrooms and plenty of wine if you wanted some. We had just come from dinner so didn’t want anything more. Will be checking out future line ups. That is not to happen. This was Nancy (my wife) last review. About a month latter she had surgery and they found cancer. The doctor told me to send her home to say goodbye. Five months later she past away. Where she went I don't know. But I'm sure if she could she would write a review about it. I miss you and still love you Nancy
