Somonauk Delite — Restaurant in Somonauk Township

Have gone by this many times on our outings but today it was lunch time so we stopped. Very friendly people and a huge menu. We tried the Chicago style hotdogs which were wonderful. Large size dogs and plenty of toppings. Ordered a large fry to share and the portion was huge and they were crispy and delicious. We then noticed the dessert cooler and saw a very generous slice of Tres Leches which we had never heard of but it looked so good we had to try it. Delicious! I highly recommend trying this and the portion is big enough to share. It was a pleasant experience, everything tasted so good and we found a new place to eat. We look forward to stopping many times to try other menu items. We highly recommend having a meal there.

UPDATE: 3/14/2024 We have since stopped and tried more of their meals and all have been very good along with the cherry cheesecake. My hubby is obsessed with their desserts. We have also ordered pizza at least three times from them. They are delicious and reasonably priced. This will be our pizza place...

Service is fast, the food is hot and delicious!! So many options to choose from. Having a place like this in a small town like Somonauk is something to be very grateful for! The mozzarella sticks have a great cheese pull, the cheese doesn’t fall out right after you take a bite. The cheese with cheese fries is delicious, usually you can tell other businesses use the same basic cheese for their cheese sauce, but not this place! The buffalo chicken wrap has just the right amount of buffalo sauce, everything on it is fresh. The mac and cheese is wonderful, spiral noodles with a buttery taste and just the right amount of cheese on it. They also have so many desserts to chose from! I came in here last Friday September 5th the food was good except they forgot my small fry. no big deal never found that out till I got home here I am on September 9th my order was placed at 12:16 p.m. and it is now 12:30 and I do not have my four hot dogs two of them are plain the other two with ketchup only and 1 large fry, I don't know what the hell they're doing back there but they seem to only have two speeds which are stop and stop faster.. kind of hard to support a place if they don't know how to make hot dogs and get them out in a timely manner I know I'm in the boonies but come on. when I brought my hot dogs home which was less than 4 minutes away..
