Somonauk Pancake House — Restaurant in Somonauk Township

The last three times we've been there they got our order incorrect I don't believe the kitchen Personnel is reading the tickets or the waitress just isn't writing down everything they got the fish wrong supposed to be baked,ordered onion rings got fries never got a second drink come back when done eating. I took a picture and at the register asked look at picture now at ticket see anything wrong and u didn't come back 3 times this has happened last time was strawberry French toast I wanted put on side so I can put gobs of butter but nope they put the strawberry glase on top the. The waitress call herself going to argue with me people next booth said hey wait a minute we herd him say it and can't forget him saying gobs of butter and it won't melt on the strawberry so on the side. Thank u Jesus they herd it I said forget...

Went here and was very disappointed. Called in an order and it was 15-20 late. They had apparently forgotten our order that was called in for takeout. The outside and inside was not clean, and building was run down. The staff wasn’t friendly, except for Trinity (she was very helpful). The bbq ribs were just baked ribs with bbq sauce poured over them. Also, the bbq sauce was SUPER SPICY and this was not disclosed on the menu. The “mashed” potatoes that came with the country fried steak was a baked potato that was smashed and turned upside down.

Lastly, it is impossible to ever know what this place has available due to their being no website and their Facebook page being rarely updated.

Sadly, I would not go back...

I had to drop my car off at the body shop in Sandwich and after a Yelp search, Somonauk Pancake House appeared on my radar. The current owners have been here for two and a half years, but this place has been a restaurant for many many many moons. They offer very affordable specials all day long. I really enjoyed their veggie omelette, as it was nice and fluffy and flavorful. There was only one server this Monday morning and Deb was working her butt off. I'm kind of thinking when I pick my car up I just may stop in for dinner. They have three large dining areas and are good for a party or large group.
