Wings Etc. — Restaurant in South Bend

I’ve left reviews before in order to leave this new review. It looks like I had to delete my last review. The first review I ordered my food and I dined in and when I got to me, the food was cold. I wasn’t very happy not at all. I’ve only gotten food that is cold at this Wings Etc.. I travel for a living. I’m an electrician and our travel crew comes here on Fridays. I save my points and what not so I can get a free meal when times are tough or a crew member pass time are tough and I can give him a free meal that doesn’t come out of my pocket. This time I haven’t eaten the food there’s no complaints yet or maybe there’s no complaints at all, but I ordered the food online for pick up and I pull into the pick up online ordering parking spot and where it’s at in this store is so much further than where I could’ve parked if they didn’t have these online order pick ups here problem is all the doors and there are two doors right next to my parking spot that say not an entrance walk to the main spot. They could just move their parking spots closer to the main entrance, which is the same spot to talk to your hostess or to have a seat why is it so far away from the main entrance for the online order. I get a reserved for people who order online and I appreciate that but most restaurants have a separate door for somebody to walk into to a counter or separate counter to pick up your online order. Long story short corporate America needs to think bigger if I’m ordering online, I need to pick my food up and today it wasn’t for somebody else it was for my family after I worked 12 hours today. This time I spent my points for my family not for somebody else. They also sent me to the desk where the hostess is at and I waited seven minutes for a hostess to see everybody else who didn’t order their food who weren’t waiting in line because they pre-ordered it who weren’t going home to feed their family. It’s only this Wings Etc. that I’ve had this problem with I will not be returning to this place again. If you wanna wait in line for your food to get cold because it’s not even kept underneath a spot that doesn’t even have a heater or anything else while you wait 7 or 8 minutes for the other people who are gonna have their food ordered while they’re in the store and because it comes fresh out of the kitchen, it’s gonna be warm. I guess you can order here online. If you’d like fresh food that you ordered online and don’t have to wait in line for everybody else to be seated in a restaurant while your food is sitting on a shelf getting cold under no heat lamps or anything if you’re OK with that...

I order wings from here after work almost every Sunday. The wings were always undercooked and the celery were like 3 small pieces of the end. Dude, you don’t serve those part to customers. Those are the parts you cut out and throw away. Also, the celery sticks were old that everytime I bite it, it stuck like a hard stick. I don’t know why. I never in my American life eaten or cook a celery that when you cut it or bite it, it wouldn’t break apart. And I’m serious, it happened everytime I order food especially when I have it to go. So tonight, I decided to order from BWW cos Wings Etc’s phone was busy. It was a best decision I made. Do better Wings Etc. The chicken wings needs to be med or dark brown not tan. I hath to microwave them or air fry them wings.

I went again eventho they keep giving me bloody wings. Same thing man. So I took pictures so I can prove my point. I was so mad I thought this was resolved after I wrote the review. One thing I hate to do is post bad reviews for businesses cos we all trying to make money. But dang they can’t cook? Normally I would give a 5 star review as I am a huge fan of your bone-in wings and chicken sandwich which are (usually) consistently very good. Now, I am not one to complain but after our visit on 7/16/23 I will make an exception in the hope that the quality put out by the kitchen is not repeated. This was not the kitchen’s finest evening in my opinion (and that of my wife’s). Wings etc is usually one of the most consistent eateries for quality which is why my wife & I frequently eat there. On this occasion it was very disappointing, however. The “Baron”, normally a thick, succulent chicken breast was thinner than normal, dry and burnt on one side. The boneless wings, some of which were very small, were mostly breading. They were served with two small, and I mean small, pieces of celery when normally there are four large stalks. I would suggest that it doesn't take a whole lot of experience in the service industry to realize that this is not acceptable. The jalapeño poppers were excellent as were the fries. Our bar side server was pleasant and fairly efficient albeit the bar side was not busy at all. Sadly, the “Baron” has left a...
