South Bristol Fishermans Coop is as straightforward as it gets: great, fresh lobster, low prices, no frills. As good as the lobster and clams are, this is admittedly not for everyone. Picnic tables on a working dock may not be everyone's taste, but it was authentic and delicious as it gets. We would advise checking the hours: they close on the early side. We also learned that the day of our visit was the last day they would cook our lobsters for the season. The staff was friendly, the facilities clean. It's the quintessential Maine for us New Orleanians - picturesque, and always busy with boats coming and going. It's a working wharf. This year we hope to crack our lobsters out on their deck, and...
