Nice mountain/valley restaurant! Service was friendly and good! Food was delicious! Seriously, so glad we stopped in to dine! We also learned that at certain times of the year they have live music on Fridays, so check out their Facebook page or give them a call to see the schedule. We had the brisket sandwich with fries. We could have eaten a whole basket of the fries and a couple of the sandwiches, if we had stomach room :) that's how good they were. We also had the fried green tomatoes, we have ordered them from many different types of restaurants from fine cuisine to dives and these are the best that we've had in South Carolina so far from Charleston all the way to Greenville and in between. They were very simple nice cornmeal breading but perfectly fried and perfectly tender and good seasoning all around just really good fried green tomatoes. Our server was super nice The owners were there and they were super nice All the staff that we interacted with We had a really good experience with. For dessert we grabbed a couple of cookies that come from the ice cream bakery shop that is located in the same plaza and this restaurant has a glass display case where they have different cookies from that bakery and we got the lemon blueberry cookie and the chocolate chip cookie and these cookies will definitely have us coming back to try out the ice cream and other baked goods at the shop in the plaza. If you like a good ranch dressing they have what seems to be a homemade ranch dressing and it is really good as well. The only negative thing that I could possibly say was that the sweet tea was a very herbally type of sweet tea so I switched it to a soda. Otherwise we will definitely be back and you should give it a try too! Update.... We went for the Sunday buffet today!!! WOW, you have got to go! Skip breakfast and be ready for good southern hospitality and food. They kept the food fresh. They serve it to you instead of you serving your self. But, MmMM delicious! We were stuffed. For the quality of food and the seasoning and service, the meal is worth the price. Good family lunch time together. Oh, and the desserts and salad bar... Such a great experience. Love it when there is home made food at a place and they make it to make others happy! See the picture of our table after me and the fam went up and got our plates fixed...

I went to Aunt Sues Country Corner for lunch today and all I gotta say is wow! Aunt Sue came back from vacation with an updated menu that has incredible options. Definitely want to come back for the Mac & Cheese Grilled Cheese but instead I chose a beast of a sub. Enter The Nuke. Extremely meaty with ham, turkey, roast beef, salami, pepperoni, melty Swiss cheese, and I chose to have mushrooms added. Thank you for having fresh mushrooms, Aunt Sue’s. Always a game changer. 🙌 So yummy!! The homemade chips? The best in the area, hands down. Thick cut, the right amount of crispness, and by golly, they still taste like potatoes instead of fried pieces of nothing. Blew my mind. And, I made sure to grab an oatmeal raisin choc chip cookie on the way out because I couldn’t say no. 100% pleasantly satisfied.

Great place. Many Coca-Cola signs, but no coke ! The sweet tea was great. Ordered a simple cheese burger with lettuce, tomato, mayo, and extra cheese and mayo and coleslaw on the side but when received, no extra cheese barely could make out if mayo was on it, no lettuce and only bun ,patty, and a piece of cheese. We split an order of fried green tomatoes, but the tomato supposed to be, es weren't green but just about to start to ripen with little pinkish and white color double battered. Still, they were good. My wife's order was perfect. So a bbq brisk sandwich and a lol, cheese burger and fried tomatoes and two teas came to $44 some change. Gave a there lucky $5 tip, with tax $51 some change. You go figure. Have a safe trip

WORSE EVER! We arrived yesterday afternoon. (1) Since the menu was limited in its descriptions of the items that they served, we had questions. The server did not know anything when we asked simple questions. (2) she bought us our drinks and we never saw her again, until she bought us the check two hours later! Our order was close to $50.00 ! (3) I finally had to ask another server if I could have a refill on my tea since my mug was completely empty. (4) the restaurant was not busy when we placed our order. (5) other customers cane in about 30 minuets after us. (6) a young teenage boy finally bought us the appetizer, that my daughter ordered, about 45 minuets later. (7) when we finally got our sandwiches about an hour later, all the orders were wrong. (8) I had asked for hot fries. The fries were cold. When I asked if I could have hot fries, he took back my plate, with an attitude, and we never saw him again. (9) we had to get up and get our own items such as napkins, salt and pepper, ketchup, mustard and items to make our order right. (10) the bread was stale. (11) the customers that cane in way after us, started getting their food right after us. The teenager that took my fries, never acknowledged us again. (12) after waiting another 30+ minuets for my fries, I finally realized he was never coming back, so I got up and asked for a to go box and cup. (13) the manager said they were short a server and had a large party to come in. They had several servers and only one server could have taken care of all the customers there! BTW, the large party did not come in until after we got our food. Bottom line: They had no customer service Servers that did not know how to wait on customers properly. The customer behind us had to go and try to get a refill on his drinks. The food was overpriced, low quality and made incorrectly. The cook and servers had not sense of urgency. I actually watched them and they moved in slow motion and acted like they did not know what to do! they never offered an explanation of why it was taking so long, avoided the customers that had already placed their orders, and unapologetic! It appears that they thought all of this was normal!

My recommendations: Don’t go unless you have an entire afternoon to waste, PATIENCE, do not mind the inadequate service Stale sandwiches, cold fries and incorrect orders waiting on yourself overpriced food Servers with attitude

NO EXCUSES! We drove from Fountain Inn to go to this restaurant and it was a total BOMBSHELL and VERY DISAPPOINTING! I worked in the food industry for many years. I would have been embarrassed to work in this restaurant environment!

I honestly do not see how they stay in business!

PS- I went back and read all of the reviews after I posted this review! It obviously appears that we are not alone in our comments. I only wished we had read them before we wasted our...

We had a large party and we were the 1st to be sat in the dining room, with the staff knowing we had to leave for a family funeral. After sitting there for 1hr and 15 minutes all the tables that were sat after us had been served and many had already finished and left. When we politely asked when we would receive our orders the server stated they were short staffed. Which made no sense since the other tables that sat after us had been served. Then they started to deliver the food another 15 minutes later and we had to put food in to go boxes because we had to leave. Luckily the 5 children were fed, 7 had food in to go boxes to sit in their hot cars during the funeral services (hoping they wouldn’t spoil) and 6 didn’t get their food at all. The older woman at the register was rude when my husband said we had to leave and to remove the 6 plates that were not delivered. She was nit-picking over which 6 basically hot dog dinners to remove my husband said, Oh My God because we were about to be late for his fathers funeral and she said he could leave or she would call the police.

Not only was that not called for, he was not loud or aggressive. I have personally worked in the service industry for 30 years and we are always respectful to the staff. I do not believe they were short staffed and they should have said that before we sat down so we could have made a decision as to stay or not. They also should have apologized to all the people in our group for choosing to work on our order last so they could turn tables for customers waiting to be sat. This establishment and employees were paid and gratuity was included. It’s not the servers fault how the manager and kitchen run the show. I would never go back, the food wasn’t anything special and they don’t care to handle large parties but are happy to force gratuity on groups larger than 8.

Will...
