This review is for Mama Meg's *stars Best cheese burger around, hot fries and friendly staff. We stopped for lunch again yesterday after church and met some of the owners.... great people and hard workers, and we wish them great success!! Our next visit will be to try the breakfast menu! 😋

  • Edit* Not a fan of the new restaurant that bought out Mama Meg's. The picture is from the new owners, not Mama Meg's! I had the driest/ well done/ burnt burger I've ever had, and I asked for extra rare...the cook tried twice, the 2nd time was well done too and I got cold fries that took over 40 minutes to get! According to the owner, when he (the cook) was asked to refire a new burger, he put the ticket at the bottom of the pile! Nope....I've already waited the first time...not my fault it was cooked wrong. The rest of the party was finished eating, and mine had not even come out yet! That was far from the end of trouble at that visit. We did try one more time, and let's just say... my husband will not...

True story so I'm driving down 183 Saturday morning at work hungry just passed the Spinx didn't think I was going to run into anything else to eat since I'm never in Pickens. All of a sudden I come across and he's and I first I was skeptical but I still pulled in from the outside it did not look that great but I was too hungry to be worried about that. We get out we go in we first entered the building it was really really quiet kind of felt weird at first kind of out of place but whatever still ordered anyway. Once we arrive to the counter the lady was very friendly handed us menus and took our. A guy comes out the back and his apron ready to cook about 15 minutes past maybe 10 they bring us our food and we did order it to go I get to the truck open my plate at first sight it looks amazing and it tastes even better...

This was such a cute little country kitchen! My family and I were in town for a funeral and looked up restaurants on Google, and this place popped up! It's less than 5 min from the downtown Pickens area and was adorable. The staff was super sweet and friendly, and we enjoyed our food. I got at meat and 3 plate and really enjoyed the baked spaghetti, crowder peas, and green beans. My mom and aunt got a salad and my dad got the cheeseburger special for only $10... and it was a BIG burger! I heard their "crack chicken" is also fantastic but we didn't get to try it this time. The restaurant is fairly small....only about 10-12 four person booths, and one larger booth, so I'd say get there early if it's dinner time. But we were there from 4:30-5:45pm on a Tuesday and it wasn't...

I'll be honest: For lack of more fitting terms, AA's is a light shining in the darkness. The food has never disappointed me yet. The staff is very friendly each time I show up. The price? For the price of two full meals that filled me and my mom up would have gotten us one meal at most other food places. Compared them when we had to go elsewhere on Sunday. Any non-franchised restaurant that can manage both peic and taste has my vote.

What a wonderful little dinner, we just happened up on it. It says home cooked meal and that is exactly what we got. Fridchecken that was mouth watering, pinto beans that was just like momma cooked. And the Mac and cheese was the best. Our waitress was very nice and friendly, she answered all my questions. And her service was devine. It's worth your time and money to eat here. You won't be sorry.
