Bucky's Bar-B-Q at SCTAC — Restaurant in South Carolina

First my credentials. I am not an official BBQ judge... yet. Getting that credential is on my to do list, but I do have some experiences that lend weight to my opinion on this matter. I am from Kansas city and regularly dine on all that city has to offer in the realm of BBQ including the festival's, and Joe's KC that was recently voted best BBQ in America. (As my wife likes to point out that essentially means the world.) I also travel quite a bit for work and try to always try the local fair. That said I was not disappointed by the offerings at Bucky's. The pulled pork was on point, with nice thick bark on the exterior pieces, and good smoke penetration through out. The smoked chicken was fall of the bone excellent, and the sides were excellent particularly the sweet potato crunch. The only disappointments were the ribs ended up being a bit chewy so if your a rib person I'd look elsewhere, and the sauces were a bit mild for my pallet. For the sauces though that is a matter of personal preference they were we'll executed for what they were intended to be. This missing star is only for their ribs...

Bucky's is a great BBQ spot here in Greenville that should satisfy any urge you might have for some good pulled pork, chicken or ribs. You really can't go wrong with any of the menu items. The ribs are my personal favorite and the sweet potato crunch is worth the price of the meal itself generally. Not gonna be blown away by the ambiance, but if you are a foodie, you will walk right in and say "yeah, its gonna be good" lol. This location has limited hours, but be sure to catch any of their other locations. They are very consistent...

Y'all!! Bucky's and their amazing staff really came through for a business event today! They managed to put together a whole meal (2 Meats, 3 Sides, Drinks) for over 15 people, with no notice (due to miscommunication on our part). Absolutely amazed at the kindness and efficiency of this team! Highly recommend for catering!! Definitely call in advance though! Felt terrible for putting them on the spot, but WOW! THEY...
