Charlene's Home Cooking is the best restaurant for soul food, there is no other that can compete. I had delicious fish, mac and cheese (not dry nor floating), and fried green tomatoes, all of which needed no added seasoning and was perfectlycooked. Much love to the chef👨🏾🍳. Read moreThis was such a pleasant surprise. My sister, finding this highly rated, suggested we stop by. It was not a mistake. The food took me, and us, back to my mother‘s own cooking. She was present at this discovery today and agreed. Hush puppies, fried okra, black eyed peas, mash potatoes with gravy. I am new to the area, and if I remember correctly, I’ll be back on Monday’s for meat loaf (once I get settled).
