CJ's BBQ 2 Go — Restaurant in South Carolina

The food is absolutely delicious, unfortunately my family has gotten sick several times after eating it- yes I’m dumb enough to go back for more , what’s 3 times out of a dozen- not to bad of odds but this last time thought we all were going to die.. first two times thought it may be a a coincidence but this time no doubt it wasn’t anything else but the food.. Still it’s the best bbq I’ve tasted in 50 plus years- It hit my wife and daughter particularly hard this time so sadly will be our last time- we always get the same thing so not sure what the culprit was- I’m sure they will say well no one else has complained, nobody likes a bad review but there’s no way we are the only ones maybe they just didn’t speak up like we did not until the 3rd time.. Love bbq and this is so close to our home but definitely not worth the runs for 2-3 days .. EDIT.. Yes I’m sure it hasn’t been reported most people just let it go and don’t come back - as we were going to do but it was the third time- maybe 4th but didn’t want to look so stupid as to keep trying it- in all fairness this was over a period of a year and a half or two and we have eaten there over a dozen times- but boy this last one is rough - food still excellent tasting just a warning to those that may have health conditions and may not want to chance it - although there’s no guarantees with any restaurant- Many also do not like leaving a review like this over the fear of backlash but I’m at that point in my life where that kind of thing doesn’t bother me.. Around 2 to 3 o’clock they have ran out of your essential bbq staples, pulled pork, hash and rice, chicken. Don’t know when it’s available or how much they make but every single time I’ve tried to drop by on the way to work in the afternoon they have little to nothing available. Save your money watch a YouTube video and make it yourself. You’re not missing out, if you can’t be bothered and don’t want to take the time and if you want good bbq that’s available take the extra time and go to batesburg and go to Shealys. You won’t be disappointed just get their early because the line can wrap out the door...

This was my first time getting bbq here. When I walked thru the door the scent of smoked bbq was amazing and made my mouth water. I ordered brisket & pulled pork. I must say my husband and I very very disappointed. NO smokey flavor whatsoever for either one. The "pulled" pork was not actually pulled but that was not a big deal.
