Iron Skillet — Restaurant in South Carolina

I was totally unhappy with my visit. My wife and I seated ourselves without being greeted by anyone. After sitting for awhile a server came over with menus and asked for our drink order. After she came back with the drinks, another server came up and was introduced as our server. Then we sat waiting for our server to come over. She never showed up, although she looked at us and saw us looking at her. We were going to have the buffet anyway so I told my wife let's just help ourselves. This seems to be what they wanted, because no one cared to come over to check on us. I actually got up and got us some extra napkins from the waitress station since it was close to our table. Eventually the first server came back after seeing that I just went to the bar and made my salad. And asked, "oh, are you having the buffet?". Needless to say we didn't get too much service after. But the check was prompt! But we still had to wait a long time to pay it. The food was not that great and the salad bar was half empty. Totally a zero...

I'm giving a one star because I have to in order to share with everyone my husband and I's experience here. After a long day at work, my husband who is a truck driver, took me to eat at the Iron Skillet to enjoy a nice meal together, unfortunately this was not our experience. After picking our own seats we were greeted by one waitress who introduced us to our waitress for the evening. Well our supposed waitress for the evening never came back to our table. The original waitress served us if that's what you would call it. Her service consisted of one refill then after the plates piled up she asked if we were "doing ok " I then asked her if she could remove the used plates which she did. That was all we saw of her other than when she came to give us the bill with a reminder to "pay your server". On top of the bad service here the food was not worth the cost, nor was there a decent variety. My husband and I recommend that you spend your hard earned money somewhere else where the service and food...

Nice place It was very clean The buffet was jot looking very good though. Everything was dried out and the waitress we got was nice enough to us.but we saw he being mean to other customers and were not impressed by it. The salad bar was in much better condition than the buffet was. It was clean and well stocked. My husband did have a salad from the bar and it was good. I had the clam chowder off the bar and it was also very good. It was hot and had a lot of potatos and clams in it. We ordered the fried fish and it was also very good. The fish came out hot. The fries were another story because they were soggy and barely warm. I had asked for a side of fried jalapeno peppers that were on the menu with the fajita burrito and she refused to sell me any because you had to order a burrito to get one. That bummed me out but oh well maybe they really did not have enough in stock to serve them. We would go here again in the future Overall it was an okay experience and worth...
