Kelly's Steak House — Restaurant in South Carolina

Disappointing. My wife and I went there for our anniversary. Atmosphere was claustrophobic. Lighting was very low. Thought it was low in order to create a romantic mood and found it was to keep the price of the steak hidden. It was very difficult to read the menu without using my phone for light. We moved to another table with a light that was working above it. This table wasn't level. Each time the waiter or anyone walked by the table it rocked because the floor badly needed support. The ceilings showed considerable water stain damage. Hard not to see that even in that low light. Tried not to focus on anything else but us. The waiter came over and we ordered T-bones. Did not have any. We Ordered ribs. Did not have any. Finally had to settle for a Ribeye and ordered grilled shrimp as an appetizer. First our salad came and then the Entree. As we were finishing the steak the appetizer finally arrived. Jason, the waiter apologized saying the shrimp had been burned twice causing the delay. Cheesecake, the only delight of the night. So this was the first time I have eat at Kelly's steakhouse, even though I had lived hetear many years ago. I want to start with everyone there was very friendly and here comes the BUT - I was very disappointed with the food quality. I had the 8oz new york strip stake (med ) and it was Not very good it was tasteless. It had no seasoning or flavor. The baked potato was pretty good and the Caesar salad was good. The roll, unfortunately was a little burnt on the bottom.. We also had ordered oysters, but they came from a can or jar. They were not On the half sheit when we asked Why they weren't Served in the half shell, Supposedly, i has something to do with DHEC I'm not 100% sure about that, just what I was told from the Waitress ( Again I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble because she was very nice)

But we Indeed, enjoy the view at the Woods, LOL. But overall I was very disappointed And I will Most likelynever go back.

Who knows, maybe today the cook or someonewas having just having a bad day, but unfortunately I won't take that chance to see. Friday...

If you're looking for a 20$ dining experience at five times the price, look no further. When my family first arrived, we were crammed into a medium sized white table surrounded by patched together rolling hotel desk chairs from 1972. If you have to go to the bathroom, bring your climbing boots because the ascent has probably killed at least three drunks in the past. Our waitress seemed to have a lot going on, despite only attending to a few tables in what felt like an abandoned doublewide. She took four trips to take our orders, and then we didn't see her until my toddler had reached college age. The steak wasn't cooked right and was kind of bland, the appetizers were so small that trust me, your appetite will be fine after having the three bites of food they put out. There's also the fact that the heat doesn't work in half the building, so if you go to the bathroom as a male, expect to leave the urinal as a female if dining during the winter nights. Would...
