Awful experience. fiance took me, our 1year old daughter, his grandmother, and his 7 year old little brother out to eat. upon arrival the only open table was dirty. got wiped off infront of us after we were already sitting and not very good. same older lady who wiped the table down took our order, except she was standing behind the register the entire time instead of coming around to the other side of us, so it was very hard for us to hear what she was asking when taking our order and vice versa. as i was in the middle of telling her my daughters order she literally walked away and my fiance had to all but shout the rest of it to her. after taking our order she then proceeds to drop forks and knifes onto the table instead of just simply putting them down or handing them to someone. a fork bounced off the table and missed hitting my daughter in the face by a few inches which she was very passive about apologizing for. at this point everyone has their drinks except for my fiances grandma. when my fiance turned to his gma to ask if she had got her drink yet, the woman (whom no one was talking to, didnt even know she was listening) got an attitude and told my fiance she hasnt got around to it yet and basically she will get it when she gets it. took us an hour to recieve our food. no one ever asked if i needed a high chair for our daughter, she had to sit in the booth with us the entire time. while eating, my fiances brother asks for a refill on his orange juice. she then very rudely explains how they dont do refills on orange juice, which is fine, but she then made sure to note that there was already plenty juice in the cup and she didnt know why he was asking for more. to a 7 year old. when it came time to pay, she took the ticket back and changed our total 4 different times, progressivly making it higher and higher. she never used the calcutor to add it up the entire time and counted out the change herself. needless to say we left without leaving a tip and wont be coming back. i feel so sorry for anyone who comes to enjoy some breakfast and has the absolute displeasure of meeting this woman and dealing with her as...
Read moreYesterday May 21st my mom and I drove from Spartanburg SC , which means we bypassed great eateries just to come to Mr. Waffle, another favorite spot of ours. We order the grilled pork chops reasoned, baked potato & salad as always. When we got our food I asked the waitress why does this look different. She told me different cooks do different things. Let me tell you I order this all the time! our porkchop was not Grilled was not seasoned and was bleeding at the bone. Not to mention hard and tough. I asked to speak to the manager named Shaun. He came over and I said aren't good today and he Shrugged his shoulders I said I don't know what to tell you. I told him we're not going to eat these pork chops. he turned around and walked away. The next thing we noticed is the waitress coming over with the plate and she said he told me to take yalls pork chop and charge us for what we ate. My mom ate her salad and that was all. I thought that was fair to start off with and then the waitress came to the table with a $16 ticket. I said for what get your manager over here I need to speak to him. I told him manager what are you charging us for look around on this table and tell us what we had to eat other than a salad where is $16 been spent that here. He said if your food wasn't right you should have sent it back so we can make it right. I told him, you didn't give us that option. He said to us if you wanted something different maybe I should come back on the night shift. I couldn't believe he said that so I asked him to repeat it and he said it again and then told us to leave. How are customers supposed to know if the menu is going to be different from day to night if you serving from the same menu? I would love to speak to the owner of this business to address this. Again I will say this is one of my favorite spots and the first bad...
Read moreOur Guest Restaurant in New Fantasyland now serves breakfast! This review features photos and our thoughts on breakfast here, including whether it’s a good value, and to whom breakfast at Be Our Guest Restaurant might most appeal. For starters, Be Our Guest Restaurant is the spot we’ve named the best counter service option in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World–for lunch, at least.
The restaurant is set inside Beast’s Castle and themed to the various rooms from said castle in Beauty and the Beast. It’s a 2017-2018 Disney Dining Plan participant as a one-credit counter service restaurant for breakfast, which actually makes it one of the best counter service values when on the Disney Dining Plan. You can read more background about the restaurant in our Be Our Guest Restaurant Lunch Review.
Demand for Be Our Guest Restaurant has been high since it opened with the first phase of the New Fantasyland expansion, and a couple of years later, it still hasn’t really died down. This is in large part due to the cool setting, which makes it one of the best themed restaurants at Walt Disney World. However, as is true of much of what ails the world, I blame the internet. Irresponsible bloggers have written about the difficulty of scoring Be Our Guest reservationsand others have hyped this into the new “it” Walt Disney World restaurant. Like Cinderella’s Royal Table and Le Cellier before it, Be Our Guest Restaurant has become more popular by virtue of its popularity, as everyone wants to get into the restaurant that is difficult to get into (only the finest syntax here on DTB). In other words, its popularity is a bit of a...
