Wrote a very favorable review when Papa Tony's first opened and we were so hopeful that we had a great pizza joint so close to home. The mozzarella was whole milk and stringed when first out of the oven and toppings were top notch. Tonight, I would have never recognized this as the same pizza. Crust seemed from a box, toppings were scarce and the cheese had no flavor. We had three pieces left over from a medium pizza and they went into the garbage disposal instead of the refrigerator for breakfast. We were told it would be 20-25 minutes when ordering and it was 35 minutes. Previously, we ordered a "dry" crust, as we don't like the garlic butter on the bottom which makes it greasy, but the bottom was greasy when we received it that time. I called back and spoke with Elizabeth, one of the owners, to give her feedback about this and she wanted to argue that I should have ordered a "crispy" crust. Not good customer service, especially since she was such a great sales person when they first opened. Going to give Stoner's another try as he appreciates the business and strives to make...
Read moreWe went to Papa Tony's Saturday 2 days before St Patrick's Day, in the evening.
They had a band, busy and a fun atmosphere. We sat inside. We order a medium pizza and Cesar salad with some beer.
They lost our order and it was 2 hours before we ate.
They apologized and comped a our beer.
Pizza was very good.
We returned last night to a full house and a solo singer. We got a table after it was cleaned by what appeared extra staff.
These individuals cleaned our table and then they sat at next table. To eat and watch the singer.
We had a waitress come over. We ordered a pitcher of beer. 25 minutes later no one returned to take our dinner order.
I walked up and asked if I had to order from counter? A waitresses said she'll be over.
We ordered a medium pizza and 3 meatballs.
It was 90 minutes until our food was served. No one checked on us in between.
Pizza and meatballs were good.
The service 2 weekends in a row is terrible! I don't know how a business can actually function and stay in business with such poor customer service.
Great little joint but a huge...
Read moreEdit: I've left the original below, but need to update the review since the first visit. I returned for an event and had a much better experience and thought I really need to update what's here. For what they do in the community and how they've treated the customers I've seen, they've earned a better review and a better recommendation.
*Original: I hate writing these reviews, but they're the ones making the food. Our first and last time trying Papa Tony's. No kid finished a slice and complained about the taste, then we flipped it over to see they were completely burned. Forty dollars for 2 large pizzas and one had to go in the trash while the other was ok at best. We...
