Subway — Restaurant in South Carolina

I’m writing this review straight from the subway because this was, hands down, the worst Subway experience we’ve ever had. While we were in line, a woman named K (who claimed to be the manager and had pink hair) suddenly yelled at my 11-year-old son, accusing him of peeling a sticker off the glass. We were completely shocked, the sticker was already peeling from all corners, and my son didn’t even have his hand on the glass. He calmly said, “I didn’t do anything, my hand was in the air,” but she continued to raise her voice.

It was hard to believe she was the manager, but that’s what she claimed. Her behavior was unprofessional and completely unnecessary.

As for the food, the vegetables looked wilted and unappetizing, and they barely added any to the sandwich. When we asked to have the flatbread toasted with cheese (which is standard at most other locations), she refused, saying it would make it harder to fold. Honestly, the whole experience was unpleasant and disappointing.

This employee needs serious training in customer service or perhaps some time off. Very disappointing and...

Extremely kind, professional, and excellent female employee who greeted us “good morning” as soon as we walked through the door. She sets the standard. I believe another employee referred to her as “ miss denies” I wish I could have caught her name. She is excellent and deserves to be recognized! We visited 1/28/21 at 12pm. On the other hand, there was another older lady with blonder hair. I’m not sure if she was on her lunch break, but when we walked into the gas station, she was chatting without a mask to the workers running the cashiers desk at the gas station portion and then proceeded to walk several times mask-less over the sandwich toppings! She went out to her car and returned to wash her hands (rather inadequately) and proceed to check out our meal. Not the way you want to see an employee act during covid 19. The facility looked relatively new or refurbished but this was one of our worst subway experiences. We were traveling in Subway was a familiar name with good food fast. That was not the case tonight. I think this is mostly service related the two folks working we're not a cohesive unit. They were fighting and using foul language in front of customers. Normal sandwich making rhythm was interrupted with each taking individual customers and not cooperating at all. I'm not even sure all of the sandwiches were paid for that went over the counter. The ice machine was out but luckily the part next door only charged 36 cents for a cup of ice. The men's bathroom with barricaded off due to what I can only assume with something horrific.
