We waited 18 months for this restaurant to open and I decided to surprise my wife on her birthday to what I thought would be a memorable dining experience. It indeed was memorable. First we waited over 20 minutes for someone (anyone) to pay attention to us. Didn't happen until I addressed this with who I believe was a manager. The server (male) that finally showed up made several excuses for the delay but we later found out that he had shown up late to start with. We ordered a glass of wine each which was delivered by a different server. The other server didn't get back to bring a set up until we waved him down and got his attention. At that time we placed our appetizer and entre order. He brought the appetizers but another server brought the entrees a short time later while we watched our original? server deliver (drinks) to several other tables. The food while served at the correct temperature was not necessarily outstanding but decent. We only saw our original server at the end of our meal when he offered a complimentary desert to insure a tip. Not a great experience. Oh, by the way. We did have an early reservation but were seated in a remote corner rather than a table with a view. I did mention initially when making the reservation that it was a special occasion. I would like a reply to this review.

Read moreMet a group of friends for dinner here (a couple of them have a lake house nearby and recommended it). For a more "upscale" restaurant, the atmosphere was pretty laid back, and the food was just okay, for the most part. I had the prime rib (wouldn't personally order again) with baked potato (wanted the loaded version on the menu, but I said "baked potato" when ordering because I assumed the "loaded" one is what I would get since a plain one wasn't mentioned anywhere on the menu...it came with butter and sour cream; it was good but not what I wanted. Obviously, it was my mistake, and it wasn't a big enough deal to see if I could send it back to be made into the "loaded" version.) and tossed garden salad (very basic, though ingredients tasted fresh; got the ranch dressing with it). I also had the creme brulee (delicious, and I would recommend!) and ordered a piece of the triple chocolate mousse cake (another recommendation; so good!) and strawberry cake (it was ok, but I wouldn't order again). Service was good, and there's a nice view of the lake. Overall, unless I was just going for dessert, I don't think I'd eat there again. (I don't live close anyway, but there are certain restaurants I've visited while traveling that I'll actually dream about having their food again; this isn't one of those...
Read moreWas given gift certificates as a welcome to the area and decided to use them for my wife's birthday. Let me say, we are so very glad we did. I made reservations day before. When we arrived, we where seated immediately. Our waiter was there promptly to get our drink order. He asked if we had looked at the appetizers and did we have any questions about the menu. We ordered the crab and shrimp stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer.. they where perfectly done and made to order. We then ordered the main course. My wife had the sea scallops with risotto. It was cooked to perfection. Scallops where tender and in a white wine sauce. My mom had the fried shrimp. They where not rubbery or over done. My dad and I had the prime rib. Let me tell you, I have eaten prime rib from all over and this has got to be the best I have ever eaten. The food quality here is the best available. The service here is top notch. Now for the restaurant itself. Most of the tables are by the huge picture windows overlooking the marina and the lake. Sunset views. The booth we where in was very adequate size and very comfortable. They also have very nice outdoor seating beside the fountain. This will be outlr goto for special occasions and guests. Would give 10...
