The Wendyâs on 808 S. Ron McNair Blvd has been consistently disappointing. I placed an online order and when I arrived, I was told the item wasnât available. Nowhere online did it say the item was out of stock or that they had stopped serving it. Yet the system still processed my payment, which is unacceptable and misleading.
If certain items are only served during certain hours, or if something is temporarily unavailable, then that needs to be clearly posted on the website or app. Customers shouldnât have to guess what theyâre actually able to order. This is basic communication and accountability, and itâs frustrating that this location canât get it right.
On top of that, the food accuracy is terrible. I can understand a mistake once in a whileâevery place slips up now and thenâbut at this location, itâs every single time. Simple requests like leaving an item off a burger are ignored. Orders are wrong far too often to be written off as accidents. It feels like quality control and attention to detail just donât exist here.
And itâs not just wrong orders. The lack of communication when something is out of stock, when a machine is down, or when they canât serve a menu item is a recurring problem. Instead of being upfront with customers, they just let you find out the hard way after youâve paid or pulled up to the window.
Whether they comp the order or throw in a substitute doesnât fix the bigger issue: the experience here is consistently unreliable. Between inaccurate orders, unavailable items, and poor communication, itâs clear this store needs serious improvement in both management and staff training. Until they can provide accurate online menus, better communication, and basic order accuracy, I canât recommend this...
Read moreItâs Wendyâs. If you like it, the food is good. The service is questionable. I use the mobile app every time. At this location, they do not have bottled water. I have ordered it and get to the store and they have told me twice that they didnât have it. The second time they told me they donât carry it. Today, there was absolutely no customer in the restaurant and one customer left the drive thru as I was pulling in. They didnât have my order ready and it had been at least 10 minutes to drive there ( plus I sat in my car after I had ordered so it was likely 20 minutes). I waited about 10 more minutes and they brought me 4 classic chicken sandwiches and a Daveâs double. The server seems to have a problem if you order online because I guess they donât like to check. Every time I come to this location I have to pull ahead and wait for my order. Today was no different except that a truck came in about 5 minutes after me, went to the window and was served immediately and left, then a few more cars came up and were served while I waited for my order which had NO drinks and NO fries. Sandwiches only. I have learned that this place is not welcoming to customers and they like to waste my time. I never say anything except that I placed a mobile order and my name, and I say thank you when I receive my order. I will not be using this location any more. Itâs too much of a hassle for the employees to do their job. Nice building, food is good, you may or may not receive your order correctly or timely and they will make sure you know they donât appreciate...
Read moreEvery time we go to this Wendy's location, we have issues with the service. On our last visit, we waited roughly 45 minutes for one combo meal and a 4-for-4. There wasn't a big line, and we ordered ahead anyway. The when we finally recieved the food, it was room temperature, meaning it was prepared and left to sit while we waited. We called customer service to voice our disappointment. The representative on the phone said they would return the cost of the meal in credit on the Wendy's app. The credit never came.
Then today, I went in for Frosties (courtesy of their annual frosty key tabs). My wife is pregnant and wanted some baconator fries. The menu listed the item at $2.79, but the computer charged $3.49. Both the cashier and manger tried to insist that it was tax. However, the display clearly showed it as the pre-tax price. Instead of honoring their listed price, they just acted like I was wrong and that they had no idea how to correct the issue.
My parents followed me up, each having a deal in the app for a free small frosty. The cashier wasn't able to figure out how to scan the deal in store, and the manager tried to say it was a problem with my parents service provider. Instead of simply honoring the deal clearly shown in the Wendy's app, the manager just said they were wrong. We all left frustrated with the service. Yet again.
I'd avoid this place in until they get their management...
