Great food, fun atmosphere, and wonderful service. This place was recommended by a family friend, and it did not disappoint. We visited on a Thursday, and were excited to see they had live music that evening! :) The band played with a sort of Appalachian folk sound, and was wonderful! We had the Chislic appetizer - it was fabulous! We were given a charcuterie plate with delicious cheeses, prosciutto, fruit, and spicy walnuts - compliments of the chef. We still aren't totally sure why, but it was SO good, and so nice to be surprised with that - thanks Chef!! The Cajun Pasta was delicious, with lots of meat, and great flavor. The sweetness of the red peppers was a perfect compliment to the spices in the sauce. My mother had the Spicy Chicken Salad, and loved it. Our server, Nate, was very nice and personable. :) Would definitely recommend, and visit again!

Experiences like this really reminds me the need to post positive reviews when it is warranted. Just in case you are sitting on the edge of your seat, this is NOT one of those times!! The good: Greeted and seated immediately. Close to the hotel. Plenty of parking. Food didn't take too long to arrive after ordering. The bad: 18 mins before we were acknowledged by wait staff. Finally able to get our order in. 15 mins, still no drinks (2 Dr Peppers!). Approached by a different waitress, saying she's gonna be waiting on us. Surprised that someone had taken our order...had been 33 mins post seating at this point. She didn't know if our order was put in, but left to get the update and get our drinks. She DID deliver drinks....to 4 other tables, sodas, waters, beer. I was jealous. Before she tried to get an update in the food, it arrived. We never spoke to her again. Now for the food......this is where the inability to leave 1/4 stars really hurts when trying to convey just how absolutely PATHETIC this part of the experience was. 8yr old ordered spaghetti, I had to request the addition of meatballs when we were informed the dish is noodles and marinara sauce. As the owners of this establishment are hopefully reading this review, at this moment I'd like to pause to tell you this: Parents want child friendly options, but STOP patronizing these young folk and provide GOOD tasting food that provides protein!! Back to regularly scheduled review. The food delivered didn't include the meatballs.....or my or my wife's "salad". I use " " in this instance because the side salad was a bowl of iceberg lettuce, with a small cup of dressing. My wife's country fried steak was obviously a manufactured product that was reminiscent of my primary school lunches from the '70s. My order was titled, "Hog Wings", described as a Pork Shank. It was a singular plate with 2 pork RIBS on it. When I questioned the waitress, I was told that ribs are what makes the wings. She did not comprehend my explanation that a "shank" and a "rib" are not the same cut. She said nodding, "yeah, but it's the wing".🤦‍♂️ I will say it was an adequately cooked rib, however the bbq sauce that slathered it was the only seasoning. So, it's checkout time.....this is done while hovering uncomfortably close to my left shoulder. This, I believe, was purposely done because it naturally put people in a position to give unfair tips. The appearance is the establishment cares more for the locals than the tourists. That's fair, they are the ones that support you all year. The problem with this operational approach, you never know who is just becoming a local, and you have alienated them....oh, the other issue is this pesky internet thing. People like me that will help spread the word that in reality, this place is worth avoiding. The tourists that frequent your establishment are there to experience one of the world's greatest accomplishments, you should strive to be the BEST part of that. My wife said the name is appropriate, because she felt like she was gaslit. My suggestion, drive in to Keystone and enjoy...

Aside from the drive through the beautiful hills to get there, The Gaslight is a pretty disappointing place to bring friends and family to eat. The food is mediocre at best and the service was absolutely pitiful. It was what I would consider to be an average/slow evening when we entered. We stood at the podium waiting to be seated for nearly 10 minutes while the servers walked past us several times without even acknowledging our existence. One of them finally turned around and looked surprised to see us standing there. After being seated and given our menus, we waited another 10-15 minutes before our drink orders were taken, along with our food order. The drinks came out fairly quick (2 fountain sodas.) It would then be about 30 more minutes before the food arrived or our server would bother to check on us. Our server checked on the table next to us 3 times before a different server brought our food out without having a clue where it was supposed to go. She had to stand between several tables and announce what she was carrying for us to realize it was our order. We asked her for some condiments, which she immediately went back to retrieve while our original server finally stopped back by, only to realize that our food came out before she realized that we were waiting on more drinks. The dissociative service was beyond disappointing and the bland food was even more of a let-down. The onion rings that we received were spongy and dripping with oil while our burgers were dry and much smaller than any "¼lb burger" that I've eaten at any other restaurant. All in all, I wouldn't recommend eating here unless you have time to waste on waiting for food that is second-rate to a fast food...

When my friend and I first arrived there were maybe 4 tables in the restaurant. One of the tables was a large group getting ready to leave. There were a lot of dirty tables in the restaurant but several servers were walking around and appeared to be overwhelmed. One server was complaining loudly that she was going on her break and wouldn't take another table right now. A group walked right past us and sat themselves. There is a sign that blantly states to wait to be seated. After several minutes of waiting someone did come seat us and gave us menus. Our supposed server was vocal aboit how she couldn't take another table so the gal that sat us flagged down another server and asked him to take us. At this point we knew without a doubt it was going to just be a nightmare; and it was. We ordered our food and our drinks and despite our simple orders (burgers) it took and unexpected long time. The drinks we ordered were good. That's about all I can say was good about the whole experience. Our server never checked on us to see if we wanted another drink. Once the food was dropped off he was never seen again at our table until the meals had been half heartedly eaten and pushed to the side for quite some time. We never got a detailed bill and the price for two burgers and two drinks is definitely more on the pricey side. The bill was just paid on the little hand held device and I had trust it was right. There are plenty of other local small restaurants in the hills that have exceptional service and food that I will definitely return to. This is not...
