The Welcome Inn — Restaurant in South Shenango Township

After several times of having my food screwed up and undercooked, I’ve had it. I would not recommend this place to anyone that’s going there for food. I’ve had a feather attached to my wings, I’ve had a claw attached to my wings, I’ve got a smash burger that was severely undercooked, I’ve had pizza logs that were still frozen in the middle 3 times! Including this recent time, when one of the owners specifically took credit for cooking my pizza logs. She is well aware of the past experiences I’ve had, yet one of the simplest items on the menu somehow still comes to me half-frozen. Mind you, in none of these awful experiences did I get a single thing comped, taken of my bill, or credit for anything. I grew up with my grandmother owning this bar/restaurant so it will always have a place in my heart, it is sad to have to say that I will never be returning or spending another single cent at this place, as the current owners have gone nowhere...

I always look forward to visiting this spot when I'm in the Pymatuning Lake area. The atmosphere is always welcoming, with both the staff and patrons adding to the friendly vibe. The prices are very reasonable, and the food quality never disappoints. The outdoor bar and entertainment area are ideal for relaxing on warm evenings, though access requires a quick walk through a storage room in the kitchen. I've been there a few times since new ownership and everything is great! Can't specifically point out changes since new owners. From the moment I walk inside you just feel an instant lighten, fun, good hearted, atmosphere and you instantly feel at home. Aside from the physical atmosphere as always the service is spot on.
