Very Disappointed.
A lot of the stuff on the menus, they do not have. Ordered and paid for my meal, and halfway through eating appetizers was told that they were out of cut fried chicken, if shredded boiled chicken was okay in my soup instead.... no thank you.
The spring rolls, banh mi, and P 1 special pho pho was bland, yet salty. Very little meat - there were 3 rolls of tough beef and one little bit of tripe in my 14 dollar pho bowl. Rest bland noodles. The whole damn point of a special pho, anywhere, and on their menu as it states, is tripe, brisket, rare meat, tendon, meatballs!!!
The banh mi, same thing, one slice of deli meat, and they were out of the pork pate.
For a great Banh Mi and Pho, go to Banh Meee in Hartford, or Pho Saigon in Springfield. Flavorful, huge potions, no skimping.
The flavor, quality, and quantity wasn't there at all, for the big price tag. Maybe that's why they have you pay first, because I'm sat there, wanting to ask for my money back and show them the three rolls of meat with the one...
Read moreI get the concept but it’s just executed poorly. It mimics a fast food style restaurant where you go up to the register and order your food/pay first. They don’t come to your table with a menu and ice waters to take your order. It’s very different from the traditional pho restaurants in that sense. Because of this, I should have expected the food to also not be traditional Vietnamese food.
The Beef Stew was less of a stew and more of a soup. The broth was very thin. They use the wrong kind of egg noodles for beef stew. These were more like ramen noodles that had zero flavor. The spring rolls were 3 shrimp (which is normal) but majority veggie and hardly any noodle. No peanuts in the peanut sauce that typically come with spring rolls. Egg rolls were ok I guess.
It was also almost $70 for a fast food style Vietnamese restaurant with food that just wasn’t that good. We had an order of spring rolls, (2) an order of egg rolls, (2) two beef stews, a tea...
Read moreI took my daughter to Dazzling Pho’s for lunch. First of all, I was surprised at the decor; it was a bare bones operation like you’d see at a take out place. No one greeted us and even though there was only one other customer, after about 10 minutes I asked for a couple of menus. The menu was very limited and totally unlike the on-line one. Also, there were a few choices on a board behind the counter. I had a Pho soup which was good but I’ve had better and I thought the large order should have been larger. My daughter had the Vietnamese sandwich which she said was good. I also thought the prices were very high for...
