Massimo's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Southampton Township

So we spent the day visiting amazing places all through the wonderful village of Vincentown and worked up an appetite. While taking some photos of the town clock, a friendly neighbor lady suggested I try Massimo's because "they're fantastic." Always watch where the locals eat. And so we did. They didn't have any Sicilian pie made, but we got four slices of their plain pie. Man, outstanding pizza. Really. Perfect sauce, oil, fresh cheese, NY style crust. Frigging beautiful. The young lady helping me was a sweetheart. And the owner, Joe? Well, he's my new friend that feels like an old friend. What a guy. We have history and like-experiences in the Middle East, Jordan and Egypt specifically. The food, the culture. I was very surprised how this place was. I was just trying to pick up a couple of slices. Even though it was rewarded the pizza was very good. There is no doubt about it. When I first went in I felt like it was an old school pizza place with the TV on and showing soccer. This is always a plus for me. The people were very nice and laid back. The pizza was so good that I had to try one of their cannolis. By the way I had a classic slice and a tomato pie slice....yum! The cannoli was good as well. If you are looking for a slice and a nice relaxing place this is the place for you. The only part that I could see to be an issue is the parking but I was able to find some right behind the building. Massimo's is a local treasure with friendly staff and a warm and welcoming environment. My family has been getting their pizzas and sandwiches for celebrations, get togethers, and nights when nobody wants to cook since I was a little kid. In the roughly 20 years we've been ordering from Massimo's, they have never once failed to produce a delicious meal that the whole family loved. Since I've gotten older and moved out of town I don't get the chance to order from them nearly as often, but Massimo's remains a highlight of any trip home to visit family.
