I went to the Southwick McDonalds today, around 12:40. I ordered my usual spicy crispy chicken combo meal. Total was $9.02. I pull around and hand the guy a $20 bill. He hands me 98 cents. I told him I gave him a $20 and I would like my $10. He says no, you gave me $10. I said, no, I gave you a $20. He has someone else come over and open the drawer, and son of a gun, there’s a $20 in the $10 slot. Now here is where I get annoyed, he try’s to hand me $9. I say the correct change is $10, not $9. He says I already gave you the 98 cents, so I owe you $9. I say the difference between the $20 I gave you and the $10 you thought I gave you is $10. He then gets belligerent, and says to the lady next to him, I’m not going to let this guy cause my drawer to be off. I say, sir, I gave you $20 for a $9.02 bill, you owe me $10.98 total, you gave me the 98 cents, I need the $10 difference between the $20 and the $10. He again says no and says his drawer is not going to be off because of “this guy” and sticks his hand out the window at me clutching the $9. I say okay, I will take the $9, but I will never come here again. He pulls his hand back, gets very annoyed. I ask to speak to a manager. He refuses. Then he pulls out the calculator on his phone, realizes I’m right, begrudgingly hands me a $10, and slams the window closed. No apology, no thank you for your business. The guy was a complete jerk. Read moreI just had the worst service experience ever at the Southwick McDonalds. The young woman at the drive through only recorded half my order. When I got to the pickup window the young man gave me my drink said have a nice day and walked off. I thought he was going to get the rest of my order. He returned with someone else’s food. I said I had chicken nuggets coming. I was told I hadn’t ordered them and if I wanted them I had to go around again. He didn’t say something like, Oh, I’m sorry there must have been a mistake, let me check or anything that might be considered good customer service. He told me I hadn’t ordered them. When I said I had, he yelled at me that I hadn’t. At that point I asked for the manager. He said, “Ok, but she’s just going to yell at you too.” While she didn’t yell at me, she didn’t seem to concerned either. She asked me if I had a receipt. I said no so she went to the back to check at the order station. While she was gone the young man returned, opened the window and said, “Congratulations for being a piece of sh*t.” I was shocked. When the manager returned I told her what he had said. She said she would take care of it. I asked her what she was going to do, and she said she would leave Josh, the store manager, a note. Read moreThis location needs to stop ripping off its paying customers. Trying to tell me that this is the way the fries settle is insulting. The next time you order a large fry, I encourage you to take a picture and posted as part of your review. I ordered 3 large fries and received 3 half filled fries, ridiculous. And I’ve seen enough videos of people saying that one fry fits into another and I’ve always doubted that until today where I decided to try it …so I turned around and ordered another medium and a small untouched and prepared by the people who work here. So the large they gave me is smaller than the medium and almost as big as the small. I even went through the aggravation of putting this into a video as well. Lo and behold, the small equated to almost what they gave me in the large and the medium was bigger than both. In other words folks, save your money don’t buy a large anything at this establishment. At nearly $5.25 a fry what a rip off.
