What a treasure to have a place to go to with gorgeous views and delicious food! Our first server really knew their wines and it was so helpful in helping me choose which white I wanted to go with. I thought it was an extra special touch that when she brought me the glass, she also brought a taste sample of the other one I was thinking about. When spending close to $100 for a special evening, it's these little details that mean a lot! Our second server was much younger and not as interactive (which was fine you have to start somewhere). When we asked about the desserts she said we have a chocolate torte and a cheesecake with an apple crisp base. She failed to mention that the torte was surround in a base of pumpkin puree. I disdain the the taste of pumpkin with chocolate and would not have ordered if I knew this.I tried a little piece on the end to see if I could get a round the pumpkin and it was a no go. So I paid $9 for a blob of edible whip cream. It took her awhile to come back and check on us, it wasn't that busy. I very nicely explained that had I known there was pumpkin with the torte, I never would have ordered it. She really didn't seem to care. Anyway, we would still definitely go back! And I will make sure to get more clarification on how things are prepared. Having worked many years in the restaurant business as a server, I know how crucial it is for a server to know and explain the menu when asked about items. I also know that inexperience is perfectly fine, as long as you can learn from your mistakes and try to make the customer happy, at least in the way you receive...

Wow! I don't have one single poor comment or suggestion. The grounds, views, food, drink, decor, and most importantly service was exceptional. Father's day 2024. Walked in 5 min after open ar 12:05pm. Lady behind bar top and sign noted seat wherever there is no "reserved" sign. Took a 4 top in the room next to the patio so views over the vineyard were still great. Daughter got stoney ridge burger, Mom got the deluxe wood fired pizza and Father and I got the chalk board special which was partial rack ribs and 2 fat slices of brisket, baked beans, and coleslaw. Food looked, smelled, and tasted amazing. Smokiness of brisket was unmatched in recent recollection of past eateries and ribs rub was uncanny. Pizza tasted great and little Daughter hammered down her burger in 11min. Service was amazing. Kimberly was outstanding, friendly, attentive and helpful. Decor and atmosphere was on target. We “The Wandering Wine Club” An established group of wine tasters from the greater Michigan area plan frequent and random weekend trips to try various wineries throughout the state. We, per my request agreed to gather here this weekend to celebrate a member’s birthday and critique a vineyard unfamiliar to most of the group members. We found this location to be very unfriendly extremely rude and unaccommodating. The owner refused to seat our party, as she insisted it was beyond her capacity of 12 people per group. There was ample seating and there was also space at the bar. She insisted she doesn’t accept reservations but had another party arriving in less than an hour. When confronted on her statement she became increasingly rude. She lost a boat of money in a hot second. Flos and st Julian in Rockford were thrilled to see us coming and made us feel right at home.
