East Wind — Restaurant in Spaulding Township

Was a very odd experience that ended bad, we got our food from a visibly dirty kitchen and a kind older man but being kind doesn't justify serving bad food, my family heard great things about this place but obviously they were memories of the past. I would not order from here again, the food smelled like wet dog and tasted like fish especially the chicken. We had found bits of plastic as well as bones in my daughters food as well. Very disappointing especially for how excited we were to try it. Wasnt very fond of our 2 portions.. I personally didn't even eat the garlic sauced chicken. It had too many things in it I didnt want and the chicken was like rubber. The sesame chicken (our other order) wasnt really the greatest. Not sure what it is that's changed but before covid east wind was the place too go. Now I really find it hard to get a plate from here that actually suits what I like. Looks can definitely be deceiving and that is definitely the case for this place. I've lived in Saginaw for eight years and was always scared to try it until today. Ordered takeout of orange chicken, house special lo mein, crab cheese, egg roll, spring roll, and hot and sour soup. Everything was spot on and amazing. The most filling I've ever had in a crab wonton and great flavor. The orange chicken was spicy but full of flavor. There was a lot of meat in the lo mein and it was so good.
