We came to The Alabi with a group of 11, looking to enjoy a night out together. Right away, we were met with a frustrating setup: tables we weren’t allowed to move because of cheesy, printed signs taped up everywhere claiming they’d scratch the floor. Honestly—what looks worse: a few small scratches in the floor, or a bunch of cheap signs taped all over the place?
Despite having a great server and decent food, the experience was completely soured by the lack of flexibility and the uninviting atmosphere. Being forced to sit separately killed the group dynamic, and it was clear this place isn’t designed—or willing—to accommodate larger parties.
Thankfully, we moved on to The Bar across the street and the night turned around fast. Great energy, much more accommodating, and exactly the vibe we were hoping for.
None of us—individually or as a group—will be returning to The Alabi....
Read moreI like this bar, old and the new one... however, there is a female bartender who was very rude to us. We sat at the bar where there were 2 open stools. She came and told us we had to move because she was reserving those seats. There was no sign or anything. so we went and sat at the other side of the bar. Waited over 10 minutes, and the bartender didn't even come to see if we needed drinks. She was NOT busy, i can understand if she was. She was in a deep conversation with another coworker, So we left and went to 212 boiling point in brandon and had Excellent service and food. This isn't the first time this bartender/manager lady has been rude to us, we just genuinely like the people that hang out there and the atmosphere but if this lady is working when we go there, we will find a...
Read moreI don’t complain or leave a bad review but felt this needs to be shared. Lunch on a Saturday afternoon, just the two of us, $75.00 and the food was not great!! Two sodas, two sandwiches and one appetizer that was over cooked and over priced. Not only were we charged $16 for a sandwiches, appetizer was $15 and we were charged $8 separately for the fries. When we ordered our sandwiches the waitress asked if we wanted fries or tots with them. Wouldn’t one assume $16 would cover the sandwich and fries both, not a $4 markup for the fries too? The sandwiches were so soggy one couldn’t be picked up to eat and mine was soaked in butter with less than 2oz of meat. Below average bar food in our opinion. Horrible, we will never go back, which is unfortunate because it’s a beautiful...
