BIGGBY COFFEE — Restaurant in Spring Arbor Township

I went to Biggby's for the first time on a day when they were selling drinks for $1.99 for any size. I ordered a mocha caramel latte, and after waiting for 10-15 minutes while watching the workers frantically filling cup after cup of various drinks for in house and drive through, I was finally served my coffee. It looked good with the pretty swirl of whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate and caramel sauce on top, but when I started drinking it, I realized that the drizzle was all the chocolate and caramel flavor I was going to get. Even when I mixed the whipped cream in, there was only coffee flavor and milk flavor. This is not what I expected. When I order a mocha at Starbucks, it has chocolate syrup in the coffee and it tastes strongly chocolate. For a cup that usually costs around $4, I expected much, much better from Biggby's. I’ve come to this BIGGBY the last two saturdays. They have no consistency with drink making. Today I ordered 2 iced coffees, they tasted terrible like water so I took them back in. The woman working said “I guess I’ll say you’re telling the truth and remake them, go to the end of the counter and we’ll bring them down.”You can clearly see the cups say BIGGBY and still have ice in them so they’re not old. So I’m waiting, they’re busy which is fine. Another woman brings my remade drinks and huffs then slides them to me. She says “keep the other drinks we can’t take them back” I say “they’re full can I dump them out somewhere so whoever takes the trash out doesn’t get splashed?” To which she huffs loudly and says “I’ll just take them hand them here”.

I love Biggby but this one has always been a bummer. They definitely prioritize drive thru customers over the ones right there in front of them. I have seen multiple cars order and get their food before anyone in the cafe does even when people inside the cafe have already ordered 15 mins ago. I have waited in this cafe for an upwards of 20 mins once just waiting for a bagel or donut holes that really aren't that hard to take care of. And they have forgotten some things in my order a few times. The vibe is always off, and the baristas always seem to want to avoid talking to you. My sandwiches are always cold once they get to me.
